Where Good Ideas Go To Die

I have this weird thing with writing where I can't write out of order. I didn't bring my laptop to the beach, so I didn't write for much of the week. I couldn't remember where I had left off, so I made the idiotic decision to write a new scene to be added in later.

I had actually let off right after a coronation ceremony at Headquarters, but I couldn't remember that by the time we got to the beach. So I wrote about Silence going out to the woods to meet a mysterious "friend" who had sent her a note.

Now I hate myself for it, because I want to pick up from there instead of where I actually had left off. This is why I can't write out of order.

I also started writing something completely different but still about Silence. Basically, I'm really really stupid.

I tried to write a new story, with different characters, so as to not write out of order. My dad gave me an idea.

A family goes on vacation but it rains the whole time. They get bored, so they go to the mall nearby and go on a crime spree. They start out with little, petty thefts, like stealing gum at a convenience store, but they get greedy and end up robbing a safe at a hotel.

BUT I CAN'T DO IT. I CAN'T WRITE IT!!! It's just not working. I can't make it sound right. It's such a good idea and I love it but... I can't muster the strength or motivation to search for the proper words. I hope to eventually write it, but it's frustrating right now.

I'm watching Soul Surfer with Melanie. I love this movie so much.

Okay, off to do some sociology homework.
