The Day That Makes Megan Feel
Horrible About Herself.

Melanie has dance all day (just to prove how un-athletic I am).

Meredith had observation day at gymnastics (just to prove that I am the opposite of flexible).

Basically, I don't do sports. There, I said it. Let's rub it in a little more. I have a paper cut, wanna squeeze some lemon juice on it?

The highlight of my day so far has been eating cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

Not to mention my whole week sucked. 2 of my friends (not naming names) got in a fight and I said I wasn't getting involved but somehow I ended up right in the middle of it. Greeeeeeeaat.

So now both of them are mad at me in some shape or form. Because I'm not taking sides. So I've been in a bad mood all day. My parents just assume I'm being difficult. They don't bother to ask what's wrong. No, I'm just being difficult. Seriously, go get that lemon. Be my guest.

I took a half-hour shower to try and forget about everything but it didn't work. So now I'm listening to show tunes on my record player. Bye Bye Birdie, Annie, and Grease. Yep.

Driving!

If you're following both of my blogs, you'll know that I got my leathers permit a few weekends ago and I've been learning how to drive :)) my daddy is teaching me :))

The Walking Dead!

Yay!!!! The Walking Dead starts tonight!!!! Now I don't know if you guys like that show but I like it :)) actually, I hate it but it's kind of addicting. Actually, extremely addicting :(

It's kind of scary though because the zombies are soooooooo realistic! But in the words of jennamarbles, "Zpmbie apocalypse? Yeah try the cat apocalypse." hahahahahahahaha :)) I'd personally prefer a cat apocalypse anyway. ;))

Yes, it's that time!!! As you all may remember, I told you my father and I would be writing complimentary blogs to each other. Well tomorrow morning I am taking my drivers test to get my permit! EEEEP!!!! :D I'm so excited!

Sick day

I actually wanted to go to school today. Today was the day that we were gonna share our videos (you know, the Harry Potter one I mentioned previously) in FOT. And Mr. Newman said that today was gonna be a free-for-all and he was gonna get the laptops and we were just gonna write our fantasy short stories the whole period. Math & German today were review days too. I have tests next week in those classes.

I did have a sleep-then-awake day though. My mom said I had to stay home around 6:20 this morning and I couldn't go back to sleep. Then at like 7:40 I fell asleep and slept till 10. Then I watched "The Notebook" and "Bridesmaids."

Now I should probably start on my makeup work.

A HARRY POTTER OBSESSION.

A few healthy obsessions never hurt anyone, right? ;)

Harry Potter is basically my life. I love the books so much. And the movies were FANTASTIC. I went to the midnight showings for Goblet of Fire - Deathly Hallows pt 2. The first 3 I was too young to see the midnight showing. Actually, the first one came out before I had read the books. Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban came out while I was beginning to read the books. I didn't see the midnight showings for those though :P I wish I had!!! I'm going to miss it a lot, but I reread the books all the time and I watch the movies pretty much every other weekend.

Along with that, I have to do a FOT project where we make a movie. Guess what mine's on? :) HARRY POTTER AND IT'S INSANE GOODNESS! It's pretty cool. I just have to put in the music (HP Theme Song!) and it's completed!!! I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE HOW IT TURNS OUT :) I hope Mr. Mathias likes it... I honestly don't care about my "peers' opinions" because I have like 4 friends in that class. I don't really like anyone else and they don't particularly like me either. :(

I love Malfoy. And Snape. And Bellatrix. And Fudge. And the kind of fudge that isn't Cornelius. ;) Basically I love everyone except the main characters. Hermione is a know-it-all (but growing up I ALWAYS looked up to her <3), Ron was an idiot and extremely tempermental, and Harry was a jerk! He thought everything was about him! He was always like "Voldemort killed my parents." News flash Harry; Voldemort killed LOTS of people :P But I love them all so much. Especially Lupin. And Hagrid. And Sirius... and Molly&Arthur Weasley are the CUTEST COUPLE EVER!!!!! <3

An Epistolary Work

Here's a little epistolary that I just wrote for Creative Writing. It's not great but it's due in like an hour so I had to write it!!! I was gonna turn in "The Lost Letters" but that's on my school H drive :P I should really bring that home... gr.

Life and Its Difficulties
Dear Diary,
Today is the day that my mommy got this for me. It's April 29, 2003. It's my birthday... so I guess you're my present... gee some present! I don't have good handwriting! I'm 6! Well, now I'm 7... Happy birthday to me. Mommy said I have an “overactive imagination.” So she said to write it all down in this little book. I hope it works because I have a lot of stories in my head!

Okay so I guess you're a diary so I can confide in you, right? There's a boy. His name is Garrett. He's got brown eyes and dirty blond hair... he's really cute. He is the CUTEST guy in the 6th grade! And... I think he likes ME. He keeps shooting me looks in LA... so maybe he wants to ask me to the 6th grade dance... It's coming up!!!! I hope he asks me... but I don't know what Mom will do... she doesn't want me dating until I'm 13. I guess I could lie and say that I was just going as friends... That is, if he even asks me...

Dear Diary,
I'm officially a 7th grader! I'm entering junior high with my best friend, Addie, by boyfriend, Garrett, and a new set of school supplies. I'm excited. Today was my first day and it was FANTASTIC! Junior high is just like elementary school except you go to a different room for each subject. I didn't get lost or anything! I was proud.
I had the CUTEST outfit too! My new pink tiered skirt, white ruffled sleevless blouse, and my Mary-Jane flats. Mom curled my hair (because today was also picture day... surprising) and I looked awesome! Garrett said I was beautiful. Of course, that was AFTER pictures were taken in the morning and I snuck on some makeup in the bathroom... Mom still won't let me wear it! She allowed dating but the no-makeup-till-I'm-14 thing is getting annoying. So, I'm not waiting. Yeah, it means lying, but whatevs.
I have a ton of homework though. That's the one thing I don't like...

LAST DAY OF 8TH GRADE!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to be in high school!!! Soooo excited!
I am sort of worried though... For one thing, these little dry patches have formed on my cheeks... I used to have acne there and it's not noticable, just uncomfortable... I don't know if I should tell Mom or just let it slide by...
Also, Garrett broke up with me a few weeks ago. And Addie turned into a little bitch. I don't know what happened between us! It's like, when there's other people around, I'm not good enough for her. Puh-lease. She may be thinner, more popular, and have a boyfriend, but I am WAY prettier and not self-centered! And my mom doesn't hate me!
Okay, that was mean. But Addie's mom is always putting Addie down... and I do feel bad about that but maybe Addie is asking for it...
Whatever. Now I'm in a bad mood. I'm gonna go ask mom to drive me to the pool.

I'm a sophomore now... And I really regret not writing in you more often over these years. I'm taking a creative writing course at the college (because Mom says I still have an “overactive imagination”) and I'm LOVING it. I'm discovering so many new things about myself that I never even realized before.
Like, I love writing poetry.
Oh and when a writer says “the door was blue,” he's apparently saying “I'm depressed and I want to kill myself because of a lost love,” and here all this time I thought the writer was just saying “the door was blue.” Hm. Guess not.
Anyway, I got a new journal. One specifically for my “imagination.” But I'll try harder to write in here every once in a while. I promise.
I never meant to neglect you. I really didn't. And if I keep doing it in the future, it's not your fault. I'm a busy girl. Can't help it!

Dear Diary,
This will be the last time I write in you. I know I've barely filled you're pages but it has to be this way.
I graduate from high school tomorrow. I'm scared, Diary. I don't know what's next for me... I mean, I know I'm going to NYU with an English major but then what? Marriage? Kids?
I haven't told you, but since the end of sophomore year I've been dating a guy named Blake. He's wonderful and sweet and nice and perfect. I think I'm in love with him... No. I AM in love with him. I'm going to call him right now and tell him... Be right back...
I just hung up with Blake. He... said he loved me too! I can't stop smiling and now I really can't wait to see him tomorrow! He's our class valedictorian (I was actually 3rd in my class. Some boy named Matt Shaefer was second) and I couldn't be prouder of him! When he found out he spent WEEKS on his speech. I've heard it. It's amazing.
Well, that's all I guess. Tomorrow a high school graduate. The next day, who knows?

I missed post #100 because I actually updated from my iPad for that one so I had to wait for another interval number! So let's celebrate!

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, and Pandora. I love love LOVE Pandora Radio!!!!!! I have a bunch of stations and they are all so great! :D

I am working on RR now. I know it's been a while but I have 78 pages down. It's going to be at least 100 pages. I promise!!! And if it's an actual book then it'll be a lot more than 100 pages. It'll seem a lot longer at least.... The pages in a book are shorter than the pages on OpenOffice. :P

So has anyone checked out macbarbie07 yet???? I keep trying to contact her on twitter but unfortunately I can't send her a direct message unless she's following me too :\ So I keep trying to be on while she's online so she sees my message popup. It's kind of hard though because I don't know where she lives so I don't know if she's even in the same time zone as me! :P Whatever. Check her out!!!! :D She just updated a new video about perfume :)

The Kite Runner

This book is absolutely amazing. Khaled Hosseini is quite the story teller. "The Kite Runner" is about two friends, Amir and Hassan, who are separated when war comes to their country. A lot more happens but to tell you the main plot of the story would be to give away some crucial information so you're just gonna have to read it yourself!!!

I was seriously moved by this book. Not because I'm from Afghanistan (because I'm not) or because I was forced to leave my country because of terrorists (because I still live in USA). I was moved by the love and passion the characters have for each other. Amir loves his father and Hassan and Sohrab and all the other people in his life. It touched me. It also made me realize how lucky I am to have a family who loves me and have food on my table and a roof over my head. I'm serious. I'm never taking anything for granted ever again.

Read this book it changed me.

It is very sad though. But completely worth it. It's sad because it's so real.

It is history.

On the Search for COLLEGE :)

Ok so I recently took the PSAT (I didn't do fabulously but I did alright) and I put my email into the computer to send me colleges that might have my major or that I might like. I've gotten about 15... They're all on the east coast (which is good) abs most of then are from either PA or VA. I got some from MD and NY and even one from CN. They're from all over and even into New England! And they all have a good creative writing program. It's kind of overwhelming to get them all. My top 3 are:
1) NYU
2) Roanoke
3) Rutgers
I also like Stony Brook (but only because it has a train on campus that can take me right into NYC...it's on Long Island).

So I thought I'd share this exciting news with you guys.
