Sneak Peek

I'm writing a short story for my dad.

It's about what would happen if you crossed a zombie and a vampire. I haven't decided what will happen yet. Right now I'm just working on the exposition (development of characters and setting) and stuff.

What do you guys think? Would it be a ZAMPIRE (a zombie that was bitten by a vampire) or a VOMBIE (a vampire that gets attacked by a zombie)?????

I'm pretty sure both products would have the same result. Both would be partly zombie so it'd have to be pretty stupid and brainless. But would it melt in the sun? Only drink blood? Or would it be a vampire brain in a zombie's body?

I haven't figured out the specifics yet...

Not Good At Chapters

I'm writing a novella for my final in creative writing and I think it's coming along nicely until he tells me

"Oh, you need to have chapters."

Thanks Mr. Newman for letting me know.

I've never been good at separating stories into chapters. I feel like stories should be one long thing. When we tell stories verbally we don't say

"Chapter one. There once was a boy who lived in a village..."

No! We just tell the damn story! So why should my writing be like that?! I mean, if it's a really long story (like RR) then yes, use chapters. But for a short little 30 page novella? No I don't think chapters are necessary.

Now onto bigger, more painful news.

I have awful sunburn. It's so insanely painful.

I went swimming at Meg's house on Sunday and, don't get me wrong, it was like the best time I've ever had with my best friends, but it was really cloudy! I did wear sunscreen but I didn't think I was gonna get burned do I didn't put a whole bunch on. Carrie did attack me with it though after lunch (thanks hon!). Now she's calling me Lil Red cuz my skin has a lovely burn tint to it. It's on my face and shoulders and back of my neck. It's also on my upper right thigh and partially on my right arm.

It's so painful. And don't tell me to put aloe on it. Cuz I did. And it didn't do ANYTHING.

COOL TRANSITION.

We've had HSA's this week. I took English & Bio. Tomorrow is Math and I get to sleep in ;D sooooo happy!!

Cher Lloyd, One Direction, and other British Wonders

Lately all I can think about is getting to Britain. I'm serious. I love the music, the culture, the cities, lifestyle in general! I mean, some of the greatest books ever written were written in/written about England!

One Direction & Cher Lloyd have some of the best music I've ever heard. It's fun and upbeat and exciting and unpredictable and I just love it! Both of them!

As for 'other wonders' I mean Harry Potter, The X Factor UK, charlieissocoollike, and more! I mean...the city is amazing. London is beautiful! I want OUT of the USA! Now don't get me wrong, I love my life and my family and everything but I yearn to get out and travel and go to new places! I want to go to England, Germany, France! And every other country in the glorious continent of Europe!

God. I need to get a job. Europe doesn't pay for itself ;)

Dance Recital!

Melanie has a dance recital today! 2 actually. She had one last night too!

It was so beautiful and amazing and my friend Melissa got the passion award (a scholarship to the studio for a free year of dance classes!!!!). I was so proud of her <3

3 recitals. Omg.

I think maybe the last weekend of every month should be 'good music day' where I tell you what kind of music I've listened to this month. Since I just thought of it now, I'll do it now even though it's the 3rd Thursday in May.

AP Exam

WHAP test, consider yourself conquered :)

Longest, most terrifying test I've ever experienced in my whole life. Seriously. Not exaggerating.

I get to the library (where the test was being given) and got my answer booklet and sat down with Madison at a table near the clock. At approximately 8 am, the guy in charge told us to start. I was doing well; I was analyzing the questions and choosing carefully. Around question 50, I decided to look at the time. I had 10 minutes left to finish questions 50 - 70! Needless to say I rushed. I read the questions but I could analyze the way I had been for the first 49.

Then we got a break.

After the break came the writing portion. 3 essays in 2 hours. A DBQ (document based question), a CCOT (change and continuity over time), and a comparative essay. The DBQ wasn't too bad because all the information you need is right there in front of you in 10 documents. The CCOT and comparative though... I pretty much had to pull information out of my ass and hope for the best. I BS'd the CCOT because it was on, of course, stuff I couldn't remember (sorry can't say what the questions were actually about). Stuff that happened in the first 3 time periods of our textbook. How the hell am I supposed to remember that information?!

Whatever. I feel okay about it. I don't really care what happens as long as I pass. Fingers crossed <3

After I finished the essays, I looked up at Madison and saw she was finished too. We had about 10 minutes left before the guy was gonna say "pencils down" so we just made faces at each other. I used my pen to draw a mustache on my finger.

Then "One Thing" by 1D got stuck in my head and I started lip syncing it and dancing in my chair. Madison was silently in hysterics. It was soooo funny!

After the test, we had to go to 3rd lunch because the first 2 lunches were already gone. So I only had about 20 minutes of creative writing and German today. Yay.

Edline Drama

I don't know if all schools use this or if it's just my school system but we use this website called Edline.

For those who don't know, Edline is a site where teachers can post grades, assignments, reminders, etc for parents & students to see.

All of my teachers use Edline but one teacher in particular doesn't really understand the concept.

My Bio teacher (for the sake of identity safety we'll call her Mrs. Jones) updates Edline more often than any of my other teachers. But what Mrs. Jones fails to understand is that...okay let me just start at the beginning.

Today we had 3 homework assignments due. I completed 2 if the 3 and was going to ask for partial credit on the third if I brought it in tomorrow. When I walked into class though, Mrs. Jones says that all 3 assignments aren't due until May 18. So I turned in one of the assignments and decided to redo the second one (I'd done it really sloppily) and turn both in next class. But when I got home today, I had an Edline update from Mrs. Jones' bio class. I have two zeros on Edline.

See, Mrs. Jones often gives us a few days to finish homework. So sometimes students finish them early and just turn them in early. That's fine and dandy and all, but then Mrs. Jones puts their grades on Edline. The way Edline works is that you have to put in a grade for every student or it shows up as a zero. So now I have two zeros. I had an 89.3 and now I have an 80.0 because of two "missing" 20 point homework assignments.

And even worse, my parents see the zeros and assume that I simply didn't do my homework. Then I have to explain that my teacher is an idiot and doesn't understand the Internet.

Birthday Party!

Yesterday was the best day ever ;)

Okay so first thing in the morning my sister's best friend had her first communion and I'm Jewish but it was really cute :) all the little kids went up to drink the wine and eat the little crackers and aw it was so cute :) then we went back to their house for the after party thing and had some fun :)

Then at 4:30 I had my sweet sixteen party! Oh my gosh it was so much fun! We went to this place called Amazing Glaze where you paint pottery. They have birthday party specials and stuff though too. We did glass bead bracelets. You layer colored glass and then they melt them down to make really cool beads. They have little broken pieces of glass that make stripes and polka dots and even reallllly small ones that look like sprinkles! When they're finished I'll post pictures of the finished products!

Then afterwards we went to Buffalo Wild Wings and had dinner. And my best friends decided to be super duper obnoxious and sing happy birthday really loud :3 luckily nobody in the restaurant seemed to care.

We then went back to my house to hang out and have cake. We have a sunroom (like a back porch) and They decided to throw my shoes outside. It was a long story.

So then we had cake! My dad made these little individual cakes that had a little bowl in them for ice cream! We ate them outside on my driveway. Then after we were finished with cake, Carrie invited Jeff over to hang out with us and listen to music. He came over and hung out with us :)

It was seriously the best day ever. Plus the supermoon was last night and it was unfortunately too foggy to see but I saw pictures on google and it was beautiful!

I have the best friends ever <3 It was so much fun and we all had a great time :D

Slow week

It's been rough. This week has been so insanely slow. It's ONLY Thursday. :P

Here's my week;

Monday: (see previous post entitled "horrible day.")

Tuesday: A1 day, had to build a mechanical arm in FOT. Omg what?! How the HELL am I supposed to build a mechanical arm?!?! math quiz...easy...German was boring...creative writing we did NOTHING. We just sat there. No joke.

Wednesday: B1 day, 4th lunch. I forgot my gym uniform at home that day so I had to sit out. Presented my bio project and got a 97% probably the ONLY positive of Wednesday.
I had to tech my sister's variety show rehearsals. It was cute.

Thursday: A2 day, hate A2 days. Told Mrs Bullis I couldn't tech my sisters ACTUAL show tonight (huge AP world teat tomorrow and I figured I should probably study rather than press play on the cd player for 2 hours) and she FLIPPED THE EXPLETIVE OUT. She started screaming at me about how I'd made a commitment and stuff. Luckily I don't have to tech tonight but I DO tomorrow. There's a dance recital :P

And yeah that's pretty much it. I had a relatively easy day. Mr Mathias was absent in FOT so we watched Mythbusters. Mrs Butz was absent in math so we worked on a project (very hard but I figured it out). Then in German we watched a movie. And I got to skip Creative Writing because of the dance recital rehearsal.

So pretty easy. Then I came straight home and did one of my 4 test prep sheets. Now I have 2/4 of them finished. Apparently Griff only collects 2 of the 4 and he picks them at random so I gotta do them all :P

So I guess I should stop procrastinating and finish the rest.
