She's Baaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the delay people :) I have returned from my cruise (actually i got back july 22 but I haven't been able to get online till now). It was undescribable! The food was incredible, the excursions were beautiful!

But i don't have time to discuss the cruise (I will have bits and pieces in my following posts though!) right now, but i do have some news!

I STARTED A NEW BOOK. yes that's right, no more Nymphs. Now I am working on a book i am calling Royal Runaway. It is about a princess who is doomed to an arranged marriage when she turns 18. she decides she doesn't want to be queen, and when she meets a really nice guy, Logan, she runs away from palace life to become a commoner. I plan on having it be several novellas in a series.

I will try to post the whole thing later <3

I can't talk very long now so I appologize :(

Poetry

So, like I have mentioned before, I am a writer. I write poetry and short stories and novellas. Here are two poems that I wrote.

LIFE
Life has made me strong
Disappointments send me wrongs
Throw me off the road,
Take a left,
Then a right.
Stop.
Don't stop.
Life made me realize
I can't get what I want
Right when I want it.
Life has made me think
That even when I sink,
Even if I fall
Someone will be there to catch me.
Life has formed me.

SUNSET SUNDAY
Sunrise is gold
Too bad it won't hold
Sunset is red
Like the possible future ahead
Like on a Sunday
When the light is just right
And the leaves on the trees
Dance in the breeze.
As much as the sunrise
Is pretty in yellow,
I am glad for the sunset
Not quite a goodbye,
But a hello.

Tomorrow is my cruise. I am so nervous and excited and scared. I know times have changed since Titanic but I can't help but be nervous. Also I won't be able to call my family while at sea... no cell towers :\

Anyway, today we went to get my grandma at the airport. My mother managed to get completely and utterly lost at the gate so it took us like an hour just to get inside and to the gate my grandma was arriving from. But her terminal was way in the back so she didn't get out for like 15 minutes ;) So it was all good!!!!

Tonight is my last post until Friday. I am watching Valentine's Day right now. I love this movie :D I'm at the part where Anne Hathaway's character tells her boyfriend that she's an "adult phone entertainer." :)

I'm going to bed now because I have to wake up at 6:00 AM tomorrow :)

Two More Days < 3

I am so excited :) My grandma comes tomorrow from Alabama. We pack up the car. We go to sleep. We drive to the train station on Saturday. We board the train for NYC. We catch a taxi in NYC. We go to the cruise ship boarding place. WE'RE OFF!!!!!!!

So you know what this means? It means that tomorrow will be my last post for a few days. I can't bring my laptop because A) Its too big and B) no wifi. :( Oh well... That means that I'll have many stories to tell when I get back <3

Today I ate a Pop Tart for breakfast in the car because we had to go to Target to get the last few things for the trip like more jeans and teeny tiny shampoo bottles! Some old lady yelled at us because we "waited until the last second to get the essentials." Ha ha! I was gonna bring my regular shampoo but my mom said that it was too big and would leak so we just had to get tiny shampoo. :) Old people... Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em.

I am currently listening to my favorite radio station Mix 106.5. The song is OMG by Usher <3 I love the radio because you never know what will come on. Plus, you can hear new stuff. Like, when you listen to your iPod or MP3 player, you know all the music so there's no surprise. I love OMG so I was happy when it came on, see? I don't have it on my iPod for two reasons. 1) I like being surprised on the radio when I hear it and 2) I have no iTunes money ;)

I was watching Mythbusters with my dad last night. It was a physics myth. a bullet shot and a bullet dropped from the same height will hit the ground simultaneously. You know what they found? There was a fraction of a second of difference. But they didn't bust it. I guess when the law was created, it looked simultaneous because they didn't have high speed cameras and stuff... And to the naked eye the bullets looked like they hit at the same time.

Back From The Beach!!!!!!!

Why hello my fellow readers. Yes, it is I, Megan, back from her beach vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. It was so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will try to upload a few of the pictures of the condo we stayed at to the site. The entire place was YELLOW. Not like, gross yellow but like, sunlight yellow. It was really nice.

My sisters' room had two twin beds (with blue & striped comforters with tiki masks printed all over them), a bed side table (which sat in between the two beds) that had a lamp and a cute little beach chair/umbrella figurine sitting on it. Lastly there was a dresser that had a small television set and another beach chair figurine. Those were EVERYWHERE! :) They had a closet and a door that led to the bathroom. It was child friendly but actually really nice looking!

My parents' room had a queen sized bed with a greenish comforter (in the picture of my parents room, the suitcase is still on the bed so you can't really see it), a dresser that also had a small TV, and two bed side tables - one on either side of the bed. Both side tables had lamps and - yup, you guessed it - beach chair figurines. They also had a closet but they had their own private bathroom.

My grandparents' room was... amazing. They got to the condo first so it was a first come, first serve situation. The door to their room opened to a long hallway. As you walk down the hallway, the first door on the right was a full bathroom, and the next door on the right was a walk in closet the size of my baby cousins' room! Then if you walked a little further, you finally got to the actual sleeping part of the extravagant room was a kind sized bed, a dresser with a mirror, a small entertainment system with a flat screen TV, a window seat, and a door that led to the balcony.

The kitchen was petite. All it had room for was a refrigerator, a stove top/oven, and a dishwasher. Of course there were counters and stuff that had the toaster oven, the sink, etc.

Then the dining room/family room. There was a table that sat closer to the kitchen. There was also a little coffee table with four little chairs. There was a sectional couch with one section that pulled out into a bed (guess who slept there...). There was also an entertainment center that had a television, a stereo, and a DVD player.

There was a balcony that had chairs and tables and if you looked to your left or right you could see the ocean. We ate breakfast there every day except for the last day when we went out for breakfast. Might I add suggestions for restaurants for anyone going to OC in the future: J/R's, The Dough Roller, The Olive Tree, and Grotto Pizza.

J/R's was where we went on our first night for dinner. It had the BEST baby-back ribs I had ever tasted. They also had beef ribs and seafood. Oh and don't eat the rolls unless you like sourdough bread :P

The Dough Roller is where we went out for breakfast. We ate breakfast but they also serve lunch and dinner. I had the French Roller entree which had two pieces of French toast, one egg (I had mine scrambled!), and your choice of bacon, scrapple, or sausage. It was so good! I barely finished it all.

The Olive Tree was a fancy-ish Italian restaurant that we went to the third night. You know how they say that Italians are good looking? Well they are definitely correct! Our waiter was so cute. His accent made him even cuter ;) I had the baked manicotti for dinner which came with salad. I didn't really like the salad though because the dressing had way too much garlic. There were also rolls that came with dinner.

Grotto Pizza is last. We went there on the last night. It's been a tradition in my family to go to Grotto on the last night on the vacation. We've been doing it for the last 15 years. So basically, my entire life. I personally don't love the pizza there because they drizzle sauce on top of the cheese before they bake it. But just because I don't like it doesn't mean you shouldn't go! They have "bolis" and subs there also! I had a turkey and cheese sub. It was really good. They put provolone cheese on it though. I had never had provolone cheese before and it wasn't half bad :)

My vacation was exciting and fun and you just have to go to Ocean City if you've never been before!!!! Stay at Ocean Whisper on 63rd street or Sea Colony in Bethany Beach. We stayed at Sea Colony two years ago and it was just as beautiful as Ocean Whisper (that's where we stayed this time). The beach was fun, too. I usually stay in the water and fight the waves and body surf the entire time but this time I also brought my iPod and listened to music and read and relaxed. It wasn't super hot while we were in OC but it was nice :)

So that was my trip! On Friday my other grandma is coming and on Saturday we are going on our cruise!!!! I am so excited :) :) :)

Vacation :D

Yes, it's true. I am going to OCEAN CITY BABY!!!! :) I am very excited. We will be at the beach for 4 days. Then on the 17th of July, I am going on a cruise with my grandma! We are going to Nova Scotia, Canada! I am extremely excited. Or couldn't you tell? :)

Sadly, I am unable to bring my laptop with me when I go to Ocean City tomorrow or when I go on my cruise. No WiFi :| So for the next four days, COMMENT COMMENT COMMENT! Follow my blog, comment on my "Nymphs" story, suggest ideas!

I had a bit of amnesia today :) Apparently, my mom came in at 8:15 and told me that there was a live Lady Gaga concert on this morning. I have no recollection of this... She also must've told me to take a shower and get ready because at 10:30 she was going to come to get me because my baby sister had a performance this morning. No memory of any of this happening. I remember taking a shower and eating breakfast but I don't remember Mom telling me to do so... :)

This isn't the first time this has happened though! One time in the middle of the night, my subconscious mind thought that my alarm went off so I got up and took a shower in the middle of the night. I put on fresh pajamas and didn't bother to dry my hair before I fell back asleep. How do I know that this all happened? I woke up with sopping wet hair, new PJ's, on inside out by the way, and my towel was on the floor next to my pajama drawer. So many strange things happen at night :)

Well, I must be going. I have a three-and-a-half hour drive in store for me tomorrow... yipee...... ;)

Nymphs: introduction

“Bow down to your queen, peasant!” I yelled.
“No! No! NO! I refuse! Let me go!” my prisoner, Coral, screamed in pain. I was holding her from behind with her arms hooked together.
“Let her go!” Coral's good friend, Reina, tried breaking Coral free. Of course I repelled her. I am much too powerful!
“Never!”
“Please! Please!!!!” Coral begged. Tears streamed from her violet eyes.
“Take me instead! Take me!” Reina said quietly all of the sudden.
“What? No who will guard the jewels?!” Coral again attempted at release. It barely even phased me. I had heard of the jewels. The magic jewels.
“I'll make a deal with you,” I said grasping Coral tighter. Her long brown haired head whipped around so as to see my face to see whether or not I was bluffing. “I'm serious.”
“What sort of deal?” Reina asked in pure curiosity.
“If I let her go, then the entire village is MINE. Including the cuties, the animals, and all the nymphs. Every single living creature is mine.”
“Or?” Reina and Coral inquired simultaneously.
“Or she stays here and your entire kingdom is absolutely free. Completely and absolutely free. She stays as my loyal servant and potion mistress and you and all your silly creatures are absolutely free and will be rid of me forever.”
“Take option two!” Coral said although she sounded sincere, she also sounded quite pathetic.
“What about you?!”
“Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. I'll be able to do something that I'm good at... I'm really good at potions and stuff.”
“I don't care!” Reina cried. “Narissa! Take me instead!” she added bravely.
“Deal or no deal. Either way, I win. One way or another.”
“Fine. We'll take option two.” I grinned. “But with a condition.”
“What's that?” I asked. I was a bit worried because I am a terrible negotiator.
“You take me as well,” Reina whispered.
“No. Deal or no deal?”
“Then... no deal. You let her go and you can have our village.”
“My, my, my Reina. Giving me your entire village just to save one innocent soul? Are you absolutely sure? This is your last chance?” Her hands were behind her back. I questioned myself silently.
“I am sure.” And a large rock was thrown at my head.
Black.

Pool Play

So today I was swimming in our pool with my sisters and my sisters' friends. We were pretending that we were fresh water fairies and we were just living in a giant lake. It was kind of stupid but then it got me thinking... J.K. Rowling made an enormous amount of money off of her Harry Potter novels. If she could make a living on fantasy, why can't I? I mean, I know I'm only a freshman in high school but that doesn't mean I can't still write, right?!

And that is that. On days when nothing happens, I will post poems and short stories that I have written. Also I will post chapters to my novels. I will take suggestions :) (just comment! Please keep your inappropriate comments to yourself!)

Today, I was allowed to sleep in (FINALLY!) because my mom took my baby sister to camp and she went to run some errands. So what did me and my other sister do? We slept. Then we had breakfast. Then we watched Tom&Jerry. Then we went back to sleep until lunch. Then our neighbors came over and we swam :) Decent day so far!!!!
