Back From The Beach!!!!!!!

Why hello my fellow readers. Yes, it is I, Megan, back from her beach vacation in Ocean City, Maryland. It was so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will try to upload a few of the pictures of the condo we stayed at to the site. The entire place was YELLOW. Not like, gross yellow but like, sunlight yellow. It was really nice.

My sisters' room had two twin beds (with blue & striped comforters with tiki masks printed all over them), a bed side table (which sat in between the two beds) that had a lamp and a cute little beach chair/umbrella figurine sitting on it. Lastly there was a dresser that had a small television set and another beach chair figurine. Those were EVERYWHERE! :) They had a closet and a door that led to the bathroom. It was child friendly but actually really nice looking!

My parents' room had a queen sized bed with a greenish comforter (in the picture of my parents room, the suitcase is still on the bed so you can't really see it), a dresser that also had a small TV, and two bed side tables - one on either side of the bed. Both side tables had lamps and - yup, you guessed it - beach chair figurines. They also had a closet but they had their own private bathroom.

My grandparents' room was... amazing. They got to the condo first so it was a first come, first serve situation. The door to their room opened to a long hallway. As you walk down the hallway, the first door on the right was a full bathroom, and the next door on the right was a walk in closet the size of my baby cousins' room! Then if you walked a little further, you finally got to the actual sleeping part of the extravagant room was a kind sized bed, a dresser with a mirror, a small entertainment system with a flat screen TV, a window seat, and a door that led to the balcony.

The kitchen was petite. All it had room for was a refrigerator, a stove top/oven, and a dishwasher. Of course there were counters and stuff that had the toaster oven, the sink, etc.

Then the dining room/family room. There was a table that sat closer to the kitchen. There was also a little coffee table with four little chairs. There was a sectional couch with one section that pulled out into a bed (guess who slept there...). There was also an entertainment center that had a television, a stereo, and a DVD player.

There was a balcony that had chairs and tables and if you looked to your left or right you could see the ocean. We ate breakfast there every day except for the last day when we went out for breakfast. Might I add suggestions for restaurants for anyone going to OC in the future: J/R's, The Dough Roller, The Olive Tree, and Grotto Pizza.

J/R's was where we went on our first night for dinner. It had the BEST baby-back ribs I had ever tasted. They also had beef ribs and seafood. Oh and don't eat the rolls unless you like sourdough bread :P

The Dough Roller is where we went out for breakfast. We ate breakfast but they also serve lunch and dinner. I had the French Roller entree which had two pieces of French toast, one egg (I had mine scrambled!), and your choice of bacon, scrapple, or sausage. It was so good! I barely finished it all.

The Olive Tree was a fancy-ish Italian restaurant that we went to the third night. You know how they say that Italians are good looking? Well they are definitely correct! Our waiter was so cute. His accent made him even cuter ;) I had the baked manicotti for dinner which came with salad. I didn't really like the salad though because the dressing had way too much garlic. There were also rolls that came with dinner.

Grotto Pizza is last. We went there on the last night. It's been a tradition in my family to go to Grotto on the last night on the vacation. We've been doing it for the last 15 years. So basically, my entire life. I personally don't love the pizza there because they drizzle sauce on top of the cheese before they bake it. But just because I don't like it doesn't mean you shouldn't go! They have "bolis" and subs there also! I had a turkey and cheese sub. It was really good. They put provolone cheese on it though. I had never had provolone cheese before and it wasn't half bad :)

My vacation was exciting and fun and you just have to go to Ocean City if you've never been before!!!! Stay at Ocean Whisper on 63rd street or Sea Colony in Bethany Beach. We stayed at Sea Colony two years ago and it was just as beautiful as Ocean Whisper (that's where we stayed this time). The beach was fun, too. I usually stay in the water and fight the waves and body surf the entire time but this time I also brought my iPod and listened to music and read and relaxed. It wasn't super hot while we were in OC but it was nice :)

So that was my trip! On Friday my other grandma is coming and on Saturday we are going on our cruise!!!! I am so excited :) :) :)
