First and Second Days of High School

Yesterday was the first day of school. It. Was. A. BLAST! I loved it and I didn't get lost ONCE! The only trouble I had was opening my locker... I kept trying for seriously like 20 minutes and then I find out that I'm trying to open the wrong locker :) So I get my locker open and put my lunch and backpack away. I sat in homeroom for ten minutes like everyone else... it was very quiet for some reason........

Then my first class was gym. I stayed with my friend Katie and her friend Ashleigh and her friend who just transferred from a different school. I don't remember Ashleigh's friend's name. Sorry x] It was fun though. We basically sat there and talked the whole time. We got our gym lockers and then we left. I had drama next and what I didn't want to happen, happened. I had a class with HER! Yup I had drama with her. She didn't talk to me though. I loved my drama class. It's out in a portable (Port 4) and my teacher is super nice. I like the people in the class and it was fun! Then I had LCW or Living in a Contemporary World. My teacher was nice and the class was good kids that I knew but I didn't really like the class. Last was German which I didn't like AT ALL. Frau was nice (that means "ma'am" in German) and she gave us candy but she's just got one of those voices that makes you wanna go sleep, ya know? We spoke in German the whole time. It was so confusing. Lunch (I had 3rd lunch block) was good because a lot of my friends had my lunch block. All except Carrie :'(

Today was my second day of school which I did not enjoy as much as yesterday. I got my locker open on the first try (yay me!) and I walked around the school with my friend Scarlett. We sat in homeroom after the bell rang. First period I had Earth Science. Mr. Woomer was nice but I have never really liked science. I had a few friends in his class though. We did a partnering classwork thing so that was cool. Plus he let us choose our own partners. I got lost getting to his class though. Then I had Honors English. The teacher wasn't in her homeroom which I thought was where she would be. But no of course not. She was on the other side of the school down a hallway where it was that door and nothing else. She was nice and we took a quiz on To Kill A Mockingbird and I'm pretty sure I got an A :) Then I had 1st lunch and ALLLLLL of my friends had 1st lunch today :) Then I had Geometry. It was okay but the teacher goes super fast. I think I'm going to have some trouble in that class but I'll be okay :) Last I had American Government. It's also my homeroom so I didn't get lost getting there. We played this game called Ice Breaker where everyone gets a piece of string and however many times the string wraps around their finger, that's how many things they have to say about themselves. Mine wrapped around my finger 18 times. I didn't have that much trouble talking about myself though :) I'm just so interesting. HAHA!!! :)

So that was my Monday and Tuesday... yup... now I have to do my math homework...

End of Tomorrow...

School starts for me on Monday :(
I am so scared.
I don't know what I'm gonna do if I don't know anyone :P
I think I might get lost...
What if I see the girl I am praying I won't have to see?
What if she talks to me?

These are the things that will haunt me for the next 24 hours.

Today was slow.

We went swimming... last swim of the summer before my dad and I close it up for the winter.

Nothing much happened... sorry :P

Runaway Royalty, Ch. 3 & 4

CHAPTER THREE: CONFESSIONS OF A TEEN QUEEN
“I'm only me when I'm with you,” -I'm Only Me When I'm With You, Taylor Swift

When I snuck back into the palace, I went up to my room to change my clothes before anyone saw me. But lucky me, Lena was in my room jumping on my bed. It is a mutual agreement that I have the bounciest bed in the entire palace.
“Helena Margret Josephine Saraphine get out of my bedroom!” I screamed at her.
“Why?” she mocked. She was eating a Butterscotch Crumpet that I had hidden so I could eat them.
“First off get out of my stuff! And second, get out!” I snatched the Crumpet out of her hands and threw it out and then I grabbed her around her waist, threw her over my shoulder and carried her to her suite that she shared with Gia. I flopped her onto her pink ballerina bed and screamed “STAY OUT OF MY STUFF!”
I stormed out and quick walked to my suite. I got out of my date clothes and put on my pale yellow skirt and jacket suit with black heels. I re-brushed my hair and sprayed on some hairspray. I took out the hoops and put on my big diamond earrings. I applied some lipstick and wallah, I was ready for family tea-time. I arrived at the dining room at the right time, thank goodness, and I sat down next to Gia.
Gia was wearing a pink sun dress with white sandals and a pink bow in her hair. Lena – who I was still incredibly unhappy with - was wearing an identical outfit but in mint green.
“Hello my family. Thank you for joining me today for our daily tea time. Today we are being continental. We are having Chinese imported hot tea, German chocolate cake, and small candies from Switzerland. Enjoy my family!” my father announced as he does everyday. Yesterday we had chamomile tea and birthday cake.
“So Casandra, where were you today?” my mother asked me while we were eating.
“Excuse me?” I nearly choked on my Swiss candy.
“I asked you where you were all day. You missed your Latin lesson.” Shoot. I forgot about my Latin tutor.
“Oh I fell back asleep after my breakfast. I just wanted to watch TV all day. I sketched a bit too.”
“Well then why did Gia and Lena tell me that you weren't in your room around lunch time?”
“I wanted to draw out in the courtyard okay? My goodness!” I got up from the table and left to go to my room.
I could feel my father's glare on the back of my head. When I got to my room, I wrote a sign for my door. It read: Do Not Disturb. I Am Unpleased. I locked the door and I then sat upon my window sill and opened the window to water the roses and daisies in my window box.
I felt the knock before I heard it. “Casandra Michelle Lillian Georgina you open this door immediately!” my father yelled.
I got up from my window sill and put the watering can down. I walked over to the door very nonchalantly. I unlocked the door and opened it just a crack. “Hello Father.”
“Hello Casandra. Would you like to explain to me what just happened back there?”
“No thank you,” I said and I tried to close the door but his foot got in the way.
“You weren't sketching the the courtyard today because I was out there walking today and I didn't happen to see you anywhere.”
I stuttered out a few noises before he asked me “where were you today, Casandra?”
“I got an invitation for a date. And I went,” I admitted reluctantly.
“With whom?” he asked suspiciously.
“With Logan Gold. You know, the guy I danced with at my ball,” I pointed out.
“He is not an appropriate choice for you, Casandra and you know it! He is not royalty!”
“But he's from a good family and his father is related to the English royal family!”
“I don't care. You are not to see him anymore. And that is final.” And with that he twirled around on his heel and walked down the hall.
“But FATHER! I really like him!” I yelled after him and when he didn't reply, I angrily slammed the door and found a suitcase. I gathered up all of my casual clothes and folded them neatly. I put them in the suede suitcase along with three pairs of pajamas, socks, and all of my underwear aside from two or three pairs.
The only things I left out of the suitcase was a pair of pink sweatpants and a gray tank top, my fancy princess-y clothes, and a pair of jeans, a black tee shirt with the word “DRAW” written in silver across the chest, and a pair of white sandals. Just enough to not make it obvious that I was planning on leaving.
I messaged Logan and asked him when I could see him again. His reply was “hey, I wanna see u again too, how bout tomorrow around three? Meet me at the carnival k? I'll win u a stuffed animal ;) :*”
I smiled but deleted the text. I couldn't risk my father seeing it. I set out an outfit for Sunday breakfast with my family and I laid out the black shirt outfit for the carnival tomorrow.
I sat on my window seat and watched the sun set. I didn't attend dinner, but Gary brought me up some leftovers. I ate a little bit of it but not much. I then quietly crept down to the servants quarters and got the Cookies 'n' Cream ice cream and a big spoon. I brought it back up to my suite silently and changed into the sweatpants and tank top.
I opened the glass doors that led to my balcony. Out on the balcony I have a bunch of flower pots with roses and daisies and buttercups and chrysanthemums and tulips. I may like sketching but I've always been wanted to be a horticulturist. A horticulturist is someone who is an expert in cultivating flowers.
Also on the balcony, I have lawn chairs and a white table where I like to sit and draw sometimes.
I took my ice cream and my diary out to the white table and saw a paper airplane sitting on the table. I set down the ice cream carefully so it wouldn't leak out of the container. I unfolded the airplane and on it was a note. It read: “For Casandra; I need to talk to you. Meet me in the front courtyard at three AM this morning. Thank you. -LG.”
I smiled and looked at the clock that hangs on the wall and saw that it was 11:24 PM. So I still had almost three and a half hours to go. I ate the entire container of ice cream while I wrote a short story in my diary about my date and how well this small, secret relationship was going.
When I finished the ice cream, it was 1:13 AM. I went back inside and got a sweater. I also got my iPad and went back out on the balcony. I sat on the lawn chair and leaned back with my iPad in front of me. I clicked on my Word Warp application and played the word game. When I looked up again it was 2:53 AM. I got up and put on my sandals. I tiptoed down to the front courtyard with a flashlight.
When I got down there, I went around the courtyard, searching. “Logan!” I whispered.
I was starting to get scared because I heard breathing but I couldn't find him. When I got to the middle of the courtyard, I nearly gave up. I put my flashlight on the bench with the light facing up. I threw my arms up and sighed.
What I didn't realize was that he was right behind me. I figured this out when he poked me in the sides and I whipped around and nearly screamed he scared me so bad. Luckily, I just gasped. I hit him in the shoulder and whispered “don't do that to me! You scared me!”
He laughed quietly and pulled me into a hug. “I missed you,” he said quietly. I hugged him back and closed my eyes while inhaling his scent. He pulled away first.
“I saw you just a few hours ago!” I smiled.
“By the way, nice outfit,” he laughed.
“Well, I'm sorry I didn't get all fancied up to come out to the courtyard in the middle of the night,” I said kind of sharply. But it was late and he knew I was tired so he forgave me with his eyes.
“I had to talk to you again.”
“Okay, shoot.”
“First, are you okay? You keep blinking...”
“Yeah I'm just trying to get used to the dark.”
“Alright. Second, since my intermediate family is in England, would you like to come with me to meet my uncle?”
“You want me to meet your uncle? Like for real?” I gaped at him.
“Yes. Is that alright? Or is that something that happens after a few more dates?”
“No I mean it's fine. I really like you. And I hope your great-uncle Peter likes me too.”
“Bravo, you remembered his name.” We smiled into the dark at each other.
“Well I try. What do I call him?”
“Just call him Mr. Gold.”
“Great,” I smiled.
“Alright. So tomorrow is the carnival and I will meet you there. And then on Thursday I will take you to meet my uncle.” He kissed me on the cheek and walked away. I followed him and poked him in the back. He turned around.
“That's all I get? Just an 'I'll see you on Thursday?'” I said in my impression of his British accent.
He smiled and leaned down to kiss me. I stood on my toes and kissed him back. When I pulled away, he followed me and didn't let go of my lips. I then flattened my feet so he had to let go. I heard him laugh and then sigh. He held my hand in the darkness. I closed my eyes and when I opened them again, he was walking into the distance.
I went back up to my suite and climbed into bed with the balcony doors wide open to let in a breeze. I wasn't technically supposed to do this because of 'robbers' but I didn't care. I liked the cool breeze. I picked up the small black remote on my bedside table and pressed the TV button which opened the entertainment center across from my bed. The black flat screen came out and I turned it on. I went to Oxygen and fell asleep to Roseanne reruns.

CHAPTER FOUR: THE CARNVIAL
“Two heads are better than one.”

I woke up the next morning to Simone pounding on my door. I guess I had slept in. I called for her to come in. Simone is a small French woman around the age of 25 or 26. She has long black hair that she braids down her back every day. “Miss Casandra! You are almost late for Sunday breakfast!” My eyes widened and I leaped out of bed. She left and closed my door.
I rushed to my closet to find my outfit for breakfast. It was a lilac dress with a darker purple tweed jacket and heliotrope heels. I brushed my hair quickly to enhance curliness and pulled it into a low ponytail and finished it off with a violet bow in my ponytail and my pearl necklace.
I quickly brushed my teeth and sprayed perfume on myself before I left my suite to run down the hall to the dining hall where we eat breakfast. Today we were being served Belgian waffles, fried eggs (soft or hard), Jewish rye toast, bacon, and cinnamon danishes. My father and I still did not speak to one another but Mother and I had a lively conversation about the possible whereabouts of the new fountains that were being put in by the gardeners.
After breakfast, I went upstairs to my suite without a single word to or from my father. When I got up to my suite, I closed and locked the door. I turned on my television and found “Journey to the Center of the Earth” on channel 34. I turned the volume up and went into my bathroom. I drew a bubble bath in the jacuzzi tub. I turned on the jets.
I brushed my hair and put it up in a messy bun. I undressed and got into the tub. When I was in and situated with my magazines, iPad, and remote to control everything, I used the remote to turn the TV to face the bathroom. I turned on the surround sound and sat in the warm, bubbly water until the movie was over. I laughed and cried, the movie was amazing. I had seen it before, but it keeps getting better every time I see it.
When the movie was over, I took my hair down from the bun and washed it vigorously. By the time all of the bubbles were gone in the tub, I had read half of my magazine, “The Parent Trap” had come on channel 34, and I was clean. I got out of the tub and drained it. I put on my robe and put my hair up in a towel.
I grabbed the remote and my iPad. I walked into the bedroom portion of my suite. I gingerly placed my iPad on the bed and turned the TV off with the remote. I hit the 'music' button on the remote and from my surround sound speakers leaked Santona music. There are quite a few recording artists from my country... okay so just two. But they're still great. Lily and the Valleys is a girl power band that sings about first crushes, growing up, and just being yourself. The only other one that I know of is Hallie Baby. Hallie Baby is one of those sappy singers who uses their own misery to create music. Can you tell I like Lily better? Lily and the Valleys is actually my favorite band.
I was rocking out to their song “Taste of Freedom” when I heard the knock. The deafening knock that scared me so bad I screamed. I threw my robe over top of my clothes. Whoever was at the door didn't need to see my casual attire or else they'd think something was up! Especially if it was my father.
I jogged over to the door and unlocked it. I opened to door and to my somewhat delight, I found Gia and Lena. They were looked solemn. I allowed them to enter my dwelling. Gia said that Lena needed something. Lena is quiet so I got on one knee so I was her height. “What's up Lena?” I asked sincerely.
“I need to borrow something.” Lena shooed Gia away. She left.
“What do you need to borrow?” I asked.
“I need a pad.”
This caught me by surprise. “I'm sorry?”
“I'm bleeding. I think I got my period.”
“But you're only nine!”
“Almost ten! And my book says that most girls get it between the ages of eight and sixteen. Can I just borrow a pad?”
“Um, sure,” I said, still shocked, as I got up. I went into my underwear drawer and got out a pad. I handed it to her. “Do you need any help?”
“No thanks. Don't tell Mother or Father, okay? I want to tell them.”
“Sure. I won't say anything.”
She turned to leave but then stopped mid track. “Cass?”
“Yeah?”
“How old were you when you got yours?”
“I was twelve.”
“Okay. Thanks for this.” and she left the room. I was worried that she might not notify my mother. If she didn't within the next week, I was going to say something.
I finished getting ready for my carnival date. I sat at my vanity and applied eyeshadow, liner, and mascara. I added foundation and some lipstick. I put clear gloss in the pocket of my jeans. I checked my outfit one more time before I did my hair. My black shirt was fitting, my jeans made my legs look longer, and my shoes showed off my blue nails.
I brushed my hair and since it was only one, I let it air dry. I heard Simone knock and I let her come in. She is my closest companion other than Sir Licks-a-Lot. Yes, I still have him. Though I call him Sir now. He is quite old at this point so he doesn't do much except sit on my balcony.
Simone brought me lunch. It was a cheese quesedilla and tortilla chips with medium spicy salsa. There was also a Coke Zero. I was allowed one cola per day, so I get it at lunch. Breakfast I get either milk, orange juice, or apple juice, lunch I get cola, and dinner I get water or grape juice. Grape juice because my parents get wine. Since I am still underage, I can't drink actual wine. So I get grape juice.
I ate my lunch while my hair dried. When I was done with lunch, Lily and the Valleys was still on. I have all of their songs. I checked to see if my hair was dry yet. It was a bit damp but I didn't have time to dry it. I put it up in a high ponytail and a bright purple ribbon that I tied around the ponytail elastic.
I brushed my teeth and sprayed on some perfume and I was ready. I was very careful not to go through the courtyards. Father walks through them every day at two-thirty. Instead, I walked around. I got a cab and headed for the carnival.
I was excited. This will be sort of like mine and Logan's fourth date. First was the ball, second was lunch at Janine's, third was our three o'clock meeting. Now a carnival! I'd never even been to the park. I'd read about parks but never actually been to one.
I payed the taxi driver, who's name was Reese. I got out and looked around. I didn't see Logan. This time I was smart and looked ALL around me. Including behind me. He wasn't following me. I walked further into the park. I found the carnival. And with it, I found Logan.
I smiled and ran to him. He caught me in his arms and we hugged tightly for a few moments.
“Glad you could make it,” he said, grinning.
“Me too. Now what was that about winning me a stuffed animal?” I said, laughing.
He took my hand and we were off.
We came to the first booth which was Knock Bottle. You took a stone and had three tries to knock down all the bottles. Logan let me go first. I knocked down the one on top. And I missed the other two times. I frowned. He smirked. He took a turn. He knocked down all the bottles in one swing. “The trick is to aim for the middle,” he explained. He won a stuffed giraffe.
He gave it to me. “For you.” I smiled and took it from him. He took my hand and we walked to the next booth.
We played all of the games. Dunk Throw (you throw a ball at a target and make a person fall into a dunk bucket), Water Shooters (you take a water gun and squirt a target until your light reaches the top), and even Rubber Ducks (you take a magnetic fishing pole and try to get one of the six red ducks). We won some, and we lost some.
The only one that I won was the Archery Throw. I've always been good at archery. I've trained since I was seven, after all. I won tickets to get two free shaved ices. I thanked the man and showed Logan. He laughed at my excitement.
We walked over to the shaved ice stand and we got free shaved ices! I got cherry and Logan got grape. We walked through the park with a small wagon. Logan had anticipated many wins, so he brought along a small red wagon to carry our prizes. Good thing too, we had at least ten stuffed animals! There was also a blanket that he brought.
We got to a hilly landscape and he stopped walking. I gave him a questioning glance. He said “help me spread out this blanket.” I did. We spread out the blanket and sat there overlooking the mountains. He put his arm around me as we ate our shaved ice. I felt him looking at me. I turned to look at him. We smiled at each other.
I leaned closer. I put my head on his shoulder. He hugged me tighter. I don't know how long we sat there like that. It could've been minutes, hours, days. I felt so serene, like I had nothing to worry about. Then I saw the royal flag at the other end of the park, waving in the soft breeze.
“Oh my gosh!” I jumped up.
“What? What's wrong?”
“I have to go! Look it's nearly sunset! My family will understand if I miss afternoon tea, which I have, but if I miss dinner I will be in so much trouble!”
“Alright well lets go then!” Logan was so perfect. He understood me. I never had a real boyfriend before. I've had boys try to be with me but only for the crown. Pathetic. But with Logan, it was like I was a normal girl.
We folded up the blanket and put it in the wagon. We got a cab and the taxi driver drove to one block away from the palace. I kissed Logan on the cheek and thanked him for a great day before I got up and ran with my giraffe stuffed animal. We'd agreed that I'd get the others later. Too many would make everyone curious and suspicious.
I arrived at the castle with literally three minutes to spare. I mad dashed upstairs to my suite and stripped from my jeans and tee shirt. I threw on a bubblegum pink sun dress and that was it. I kept on the sandals and kept my makeup and hair the way it was. I ran downstairs and sat at the dining table with the rest of my family.
We were just awaiting my mother when I got to the table. I didn't speak. When my mother got to the table, we began to eat the grilled chicken and brown rice that we were served. None of us spoke. I looked at Lena and realized that she hadn't said anything to Mother yet.
I cleared my throat. Lena looked at me and gave me a look that said “I will tell her later!” I was satisfied by that. I continued eating even though I wasn't that hungry. When dinner was done, we were served dessert. Dessert today was chocolate covered cheesecake with vanilla soy cream. Yum... Not to the ice cream though. Gia is lactose intolerant so she can't have normal ice cream. She has to eat soy cream. It's gross. It tastes like plastic.
I finished what I could of my cheesecake and then asked Mother if I was excused. She said I was, and I left.
I went up to my suite and changed into my sweatpants and tank top. I washed my face and took down my hair. It was curlier than ever because I never officially dried it. I separated it into pigtails and brushed my teeth. I climbed into my soft bed and turned on the TV. I landed on Disney Channel Europe and quickly fell asleep to Hannah Montana and Phineas and Ferb.

High School!

Today I went to my high school for Freshmen Fest. We got to meet the principal and walk around the school. My mom, my friend Courtney, and I walked over to the school :) Courtney and I are walking to school this year :) I'm excited but super scared!

Anyway, I finally finished my essays for school :) My Secret Life Of Bees essay is exactly the right length and my Mockingbird essay is exactly perfect :) I really hope I do well on these because these are the first 100 points of the quarter.

We met my homeroom teacher today and she seems really nice. I shouldn't say that though because I always jinx it. Last year my teacher seemed really nice but she turned out to be super strict.

I saw my friend Dylaney and we signed up for the school play together. Our auditions are right after each others! Hers is at 3 and mine is at 3:05. The play is Taming of the Shrew! SHAKESPEARE!!!!! AHH!!!!!! Taming of the Shrew is my favorite play by William Shakespeare! I read Romeo & Juliet, Julius Caesar, Taming of the Shrew, and I started to read Hamlet (I think...) but I didn't like it. Plays are hard to read :)

We got our gym uniforms as well. They are light blue shorts and a silvery gray colored shirt. They're a lot better than the ugly gray and black uniforms we had last year :P

#1 Thing Wrong With Me (This Week): I am obsessed with my Nintendo DSLite. I've been playing it NON STOP for seriously like two weeks. I've had it since I was 11 and I used to play it all the time but then when i turned 13 I kind of forgot about it but now it's all I do :P

Also: If you have an iPhone or iPod touch, download the following apps!!!
1) Sundae Maker Free
2) Cake Maker
3) Sandwich Maker
4) Type n Talk
5) Whirly Word

Sundae, Cake, and Sandwich Maker(s) are all from the same creator and they are so cool :) You can make ice cream sundaes and hamburgers and birthday cakes and everything! It's my favorite annoying pastime :)

Type n Talk is this hilarious application that lets you type in a word or phrase and the iPod says it in a robot voice! It's hilarious because the robot can't pronounce some words :D It's pretty funny!!!

Whirly Word is a word game where you are given 6 letters and you have to figure out all the words that you can make out of the 6 letters. My high
SCORE: 3150
WORDS: 143
PUZZLES COMPLETED: 20
Try and beat me :) It's simple and stupid but I like words so I downloaded it :)

Look up Jessie James on iTunes or YouTube. She's a country/pop singer and yes she does dress kind of... *imaginary shiver* but she's a great singer and I love her song Boys In The Summer! I actually like them all except Blue Jeans but look it up anyway! Just because I don't like it doesn't mean you won't love it!

NEW HAIR

Everyone say happy birthday to my sister!!!!! My youngest sister turned 6 today!!! I just got back from a fun-filled day of b-day fun! I woke up at 6 and we (my family and I) gave my sister her presents. Then at 11-ish we left the house to go get Arby's for lunch! Of course, being the delinquents that we are, we got sandwiches at Arby's and then went to McDonald's for fries and sodas :) Then at 12:15 we had hair cut appointments! I got all of my hair cut!!!!!! My hair used to be down past my chest and it is now shoulder-length with choppy layers and side bangs! I love it and I am so happy about it! Then we went to the grocery store to get the cake for Mere's party! It was a Tinker Bell cake! It was so cool; half of it was chocolate cake and the other half was yellow cake! I got a piece right down the middle and the chocolate part fell cleanly apart from the vanilla part! It was so cool! Meredith had a blast and they girls were so funny. It was a dance party so all the girls gathered at the dance studio and got to dance to music for 3 hours. It was exhausting. At one point, Meredith and her friend dragged me out there and forced me to dance :) The lights and music were great and we got pizza! It wasn't terrific but you know its still pizza!!! :D

It was a productive and super fun day and I got a lollipop!

That's pretty much it though... nothing really happened today except for the above... I am so tired! Who knew 9 little six year olds could be so LOUD?!

Fun Mall Day :D

I AM SO HYPER! I went to the mall today with my best friend :) It was incredibly fun and guess what we had for lunch?! TCBY!!!! :D It was definately The Country's Best Yogurt ;) And soft pretzels! Oh and MnM's and Skittles!!!!! :D :DD :DDD

~*~*~

Right now it is about 73 degrees in my room so my window is open. It's been kinda gross here today; rain and fog. Great day for the mall :) My table fan is on and I am jamming out to some Taylor Swift :) Have you heard her new single, Mine? It's amazing and it's by far one of my top five favorites by her!
1) Forever & Always
2) Mine
3) Today Was A Fairtale
4) Our Song
5) You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home (Miley Cyrus {as Hannah Montana} sings this in the movie but Taylor Swift wrote it for Miley)

I love all her songs but these are my favorites ;)

~*~*~

I'm going to watch Melissa & Joey at 8 on ABC Family. I loved Mel's line in the last episode: "Who's the sicko that came up with HD?!" It was hilarious! Watch it if you get the chance it's so funny! I'm just sad that Pretty Little Liars ended! It was my favorite show on TV before the season ended! I hated the way it ended too!

I have to go now because I am supposed to be working on my Mockingbird project for English! Shh!

Charlie Poem

Hey guys,
I've been thinking lately about my dog (RIP) Charlie. I want a new dog... but I feel bad when I say that. I feel like I'm killing his memory by wanting another dog... like I'm trying to replace him or something. I wrote a free-verse poem about his life and his life with us.

Charlie's Life
This new world is a stranger to me.
I see my sister and mother and father,
But mostly nothing else.
Out of the corner of my eye, I see an excited young female.

She looks over at me,
Our eyes meet.
I walk over to where she was standing behind the small fence.
She tugs on her mother's sleeve and says: “Mommy, that one is Oreo and that one is Charlie.”

The young family leaves to go and buy supplies for their newest edition to their family.
When they return a few short weeks later, I am taken away from my precious mother.
Who will feed me now?
This new family will, they have chosen me to go to their home.

They put me on a soft forest green cloth in the backseat next to the young girl.
I discover soon that I feel ill.
I am scared.
I don't enjoy this moving vehicle.

We reach a small development of town houses.
We drive and park in front of the one on the end of the street.
So this is where I live now, I thought to myself.
I whimpered slightly, for the man picked me up to get out of the car.

I walked into the area and found an oddly shaped seat.
I try to jump on to it,
But I realize that I am too small and weak.
The little girl comes over and waves a strange toy in my face.

I bite into the rope,
This looks like fun.
I shake my head back and forth,
To try and take the toy from her.

I succeed and see steps that lead to the upper level of the acute house.
I am able to climb up the stairs.
I look around this new habitat carefully.
When I reach the staircase again, I can't go back down.

My new master sees my wariness, and carries me down the stairs.
I see a metal cage.
It looks comfy,
Despite the metal bars surrounding it.

I grow quickly.
In just a few weeks,
I can see and feel the difference in my body size.
I guess I won't get that big.

I am almost one year old in people years.
I am let outside with my master and Megan, the young girl who chose me what seems like so long ago.
I see a brown fence surrounding the entire backyard.
I don't see the fun in that.

My master throws an object over my head.
I get the urge to run after it.
I catch up with the colorful sphere,
And I bring it back to him to throw again.

I have lived here for three years and there is a new sound in the house.
A very small item wrapped in a blanket comes to my home.
It starts to wail.
I cry too. This crying object appeals to me in the strangest way. I feel that I must protect it from everything.

I am in the dreadful car.
I keep hearing the word vet.
What is this strange word?
What does it mean?

I am on a red leash when I jump nervously out of the silver car.
I start to walk over to the door with Master.
We walk in and he says my name, “Charlie Clark.”
Then, a man in a white coat comes out and takes us into a small room with a bed in the center.

I am lifted on to it and the man starts inspecting me.
I suppose he was looking to ensure my health was fantastic.
Then, I get a sharp needle put into my side.
So this is external pain, I said to myself. I had felt internal pain when I was scolded.

When the needle was finally removed,
I was rowdy.
I wanted to do everything in my power
To make sure I didn't have to return here.

I got my wish.
The Clark's started putting all of our possessions in brown boxes.
Then the boxes were stored in a large truck.
Where are my families things being taken?

They were taken to a small apartment.
This was interesting.
No stairs to go up and down, unless we were leaving to go out somewhere.
I doubted I would ever be leaving.

Only a few short months we were living in this tiny apartment.
Then our things were re-packed up
And put in another van.
We stop a few hours later in front of a house that was much different than anywhere I had ever lived.

I hopped out of the car with Megan.
I saw many other children playing outside.
Maybe Megan can find some friends here.
I thought that this place was going to be fun!

I go throughout the house and search.
I am let out into the backyard and I see a small body of water.
Master calls it a pool.
There was a small white, moving object on the bottom.

I chased it around and around
Until my poor paws started to hurt.
I saw red liquid coming from them.
Blood.

Megan leaves for school the same day Master's wife goes to the hospital.
Master's wife comes home a few days later with another small bundle in her arms.
This child didn't cry.
I was glad at this moment, it made me sad when my family was sad.

It is summer time again,
And everyone gets their bathing suits on.
I go out to run around the pool again.
I was careful not to run too fast, so my paws wouldn't get scratched.

Then Megan climbs up on to a white board hovering the water's edge.
She takes a running leap
And lands in the water.
Oh no! She must be drowning!

I barked because I was scared.
When she came up on the other side,
I was relieved and started yelling at her.
“Stop barking, Charlie. I am fine,” she commanded me.

So many things have changed in my span of life with the Clark's.
The children, Megan, Melanie, and Meredith, grew quickly
And I couldn't be happier with any other family.
Then it is time for the vet's again. Even though I had been there so many times before, I was frightened.

Master puts me in the car
And drives to my doctor's office.
I admit, I have bitten a few people
But they kept pestering me.

When I walked into the small room,
I was given a shot again.
I had been getting a lot lately.
I couldn't understand the doctor's words; They weren't familiar to me.

The vet told Master that this would just calm me down,
But not hurt me in any way at all.
I look at my master with tired eyes.
Why was I suddenly so exhausted?

Little did I know that this would be the last time that I would see him.
I looked over at the vet.
I lay my head down on to my paws to let him examine me.
I closed my eyes as if to sleep. I never opened them again.

I will admit,
I had my ups and downs with the Clark family.
I didn't think that they would miss me this much.
I looked down upon them from where I am now.

I saw him tell Melanie, Meredith, his wife, and Megan the awful news.
I was dead. I wouldn't be coming home.
They cried for a long time.
I wanted to go to them and tell them that I was sorry.

I miss them so much.
I look at them everyday.
I watch as they quarrel and make up.
They have forgotten about me I am sure.

Then I see Megan's room. There are many photo's of me on the walls.
Some that were somewhat recent,
Some that were from when I was a puppy,
And I realized that they care about me even though I am not with them anymore.

Please comment ;) I miss my dog a lot, and I like to think that he can look down from wherever he is and he can read everything that I write and watch me all the time. I think he'd like this :)

Runaway Royalty, Ch.2

CHAPTER 2: ROYAL ROMANCE
“...Live and let live,” -Circle of Life, Elton John

I ran all the way to Janine's. It was 11:23 by the time I got there but Logan was waiting out front anyway. Janine's is a cute, little, family-owned, Italian restaurant in the far corner of town. It has a dress code for no flip flops, no shorts, and male's must wear a sports jacket or something like a sports jacket.
His eyes basically popped out of his skull when he saw me. I played dumb and looked behind me and all around like I was looking for some beautiful model or something. He smiled and said “hello” in his adorable British accent. I may be a princess but I am just like any other girl and am unable to see through that amazing accent.
“Hey. Am I... appropriate?”
“Of course. I used to come here all the time with my mother whenever we would visit Santona. That was before she died.”
“Oh my goodness, I am so sorry. Was it a long time ago?” I was genuinely curious although I probably just sounded like I was snooping.
“Yes, she passed when I was about ten or eleven years.”
“I'm sorry.”
“It's alright. Let's go inside to be seated.” We walked inside. I could tell that it hurt him to talk about his mother. So when we sat down, I changed the subject.
“So what are you doing in Santona? Why aren't you in England?” I asked after we were given our menus.
“My great-uncle Peter lives here and he has gone ill. I came alone because I am eighteen. My father and my great-uncle had a huge fight some time ago. Father won't talk about it. The fight happened before I was even able to walk.”
“Oh great. Why do I keep managing to get you talking about death?” After that left my lips I realized it had been the wrong thing to say. “Oh gosh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to come out like that.”
“Cassie, it's fine! I don't mind talking about Peter or my mother.” He smiled and reached out to hold my hand across the checkered table top. I smiled back.
“Hello welcome to Janine's, I'm Sylvia and I will be your waitress for this afternoon,” a pretty red head with a freckled nose and shocking blue eyes said in an American-Southern accent said sweetly. “May I take your drink order?”
“I'll have just a cola please,” Logan said firmly. “Only two ice cubes.”
“Beg pardon?” Sylvia said surprised.
“Well, too many ice cubes will water down the drink.”
“That is by far the most specific order I've ever gotten in this place,” she laughed a jingly laugh. “And for you, miss?”
“Uh, I'll have the same as Logan.” I was dying for a milk shake, but shakes were pretty pricey and I didn't want to order anything unnecessary.
“Alright I'll be right back with that.” And she walked away, her curly hair bouncing.
I surveyed the menu and saw spaghetti, rigatoni, manicotti, basically anything I could get back at the palace. Then my eyes hit pizza. “Um, Logan. Would you be ever so inclined to share a pizza with me? With mushrooms and pepperoni?”
“Pizza? Are you sure?”
“It's the greasiest thing on the menu. I don't get greasy. I think I have had pizza twice in my life time. Both times were while I was away at camp. And I had to sneak out with a few friends for that,” I smiled at the memory.
“Okay then. Pizza it is,” he said with a grin.
Sylvia brought back out cola's and pulled out her pen and pad. She clicked the pen open and said “what can I get y'all to eat?”
“Casandra and I are going to share a small pepperoni pizza with half of it mushrooms and half of it no mushrooms.”
“Casandra? As in... oh my lord...” Sylvia looked like she was going to pass out.
“Shh! Today I am just a regular person just trying to get a pizza! Okay?” I said with a solemn look on my face. Logan noticed it and looked apologetic. After all, he was the one that used my full name. My eyes said that it was okay, but my heart said that I needed to get rid of castle life once and for all.
“Okay your highness. One small pizza coming right up!” Sylvia got her color back but still looked overly excited. That wild look in her eyes worried me.
“Please don't say anything!!!” I pleaded.
“My lips are sealed!”
She ran back to the kitchen to put our order in. I shot a look at Logan. “What?”
“It's not your fault, but when we're in public, call me Cassie, okay? The public knows me as Casandra, not as Cassie. I'm better hidden that way.”
“Alright, I'm sorry.”
“You're forgiven. But if photographers come, we run.”
“Gotcha,” he said, smiling widely.
We sat and talked for a while about basically everything. He talked about commoner life and I talked about palace life. I guess he isn't technically a commoner, but he isn't royalty.
When our pizza came, Sylvia put it on a tray at the end of the table so we wouldn't burn ourselves. I watched as Logan cut into a slice on the pepperoni and mushroom side and handed me the silver plate. He cut himself a piece on the plain pepperoni side. “What's wrong with mushrooms?” I asked.
“I do not like eating fungi for I am a fun guy,” he joked.
“No seriously,” I laughed.
“I became very frightened by mushrooms at a very young age.”
“No way what happened?” I asked as I took a mouthful of cheese.
“My brother used to hide them around my room and thrown them at me when I was a kid.”
“Oh my gosh that's terrible!” I cried.
“Yeah. But it's cool. I was like four so I never really had to give anything up,” he said with a small smile. I liked his smile. It made me smile.
“I see. Well next time tell me so I won't order them! Extra toppings are expensive!”
“It's fine! I have plenty of money. My parents are quite wealthy.”
We ate the rest of the pizza. I was surprised at how much I ate because I didn't think I was that hungry. I ate my entire half and he ate his entire half.
When we paid and tipped Sylvia, we left the restaurant and went to walk in the Victorian gardens. We took the main path and walked through all the way.
“So why did you leave England? I mean I know you said you were staying near your uncle but why leave now?”
“Well I heard there was an upcoming ball that my father was invited to and I figured why not? So I stole my father's invitation and told him that I was going to visit Great-Uncle Peter and he agreed to let me fly over here. I am staying near Peter but I wanted to attend the ball as well,” he said as he reached down to take my hand. I let him.
We walked along holding hands. We sat down on a bench in front of a fountain of Zeus and Juno. Water nymphs circled the bottom to 'praise the gods' or something. My parents were very interested in Greek and Roman mythology for a while when they were designing the garden.
A man came by selling cotton candy and soft pretzels. “Do you want some?” Logan asked me.
“Sure,” I said. He got us pretzels.
“Here ya go. One soft pretzel hot off the rack.” It was buttery and salty and absolutely delicious. We never had these at the palace either. I had to sneak ice cream. And the ice cream is set aside from the servants for me because I asked them nicely.
“Can I just say that this is the best day I have ever had?”
“Ever?” he sounded doubtful.
“Yes. Well, since my sisters were born.” I made a face.
“Yes I read about your relationship with your sisters. Gia and Lena, correct?”
I nodded. “Gia is thoughtful and loud. Lena is kind and annoying.”
“Why don't you like them?”
“It's not them. It's my whole life... it's complicated.”
“We have time.” I checked my watch and realized that we actually didn't. It was nearly four-thirty, which was tea time with my family in the main dining room.
“Not really. I have to go.”
“So soon?”
“Yes. See at four-thirty every day, my family and I have tea time and we drink tea and eat cake and don't talk to each other. I have to go, it's mandatory.” I got up and started walking in the direction of the palace.
“Wait, Cassie, please let me at least let me give you a ride home.” I agreed, and we got a cab. Logan told the driver to park a block away from the palace so no one would see me. I thanked him one last time.
“Thanks for such a great day. We really have to do this again.”
“Cassie. I really like you. And I've wanted to do this all day.” He took my hands and pulled me close. He leaned down – for I am much shorter than he is – and kissed me. I stood on my toes so he wouldn't hurt his neck leaning down so low. And I kissed him back. His scent filled my entire body with happiness.
When he pulled away, I looked up at him. His eyes were sparkling. I smiled and he hugged me tightly. He set his head on mine and I hugged him back as I inhaled his scent some more. He smelt of Dove soap, aftershave, and David Beckham cologne. I loved it. Before I left, we had the taxi driver take a picture of us on my cell phone. I made it my background.
I walked backwards so I could watch him leave. I waved as the cab pulled away from the curb. I then turned around and ran for the palace.

Runaway Royalty, Intro & Ch.1

INTRODUCTION
“Runaway to a place that only you know, the place where you can truly be serene.”

Palace life used to be perfect. King, Queen, and Princess. Three rulers of a country called Santona. I am Princess Casandra. I am seventeen years of age, and I wish I was an only child.
Life used to be simple and plain but free and opportunities were wide. My favorite thing to do as a young child was put on super-fuzzy socks and go sliding all over our hallways. We have this one hall which my parents call the Hall Of Emptiness. The title is pretty much self-explanatory. There is nothing in the hall but a single chandelier that lights the entire way down. I and the head of security, Gary, would go sliding down the hallway. Back and forth, back and forth. Holding his hand going up and down and forward and backward. I was a figure skater with no ice.
I was happy. I had a very large room with many toys that I could play with and I would occupy myself for hours on end with my mother's old vanity and all of her out-of-season jewelery. My cat, Sir Licks-a-Lot (I got him when I was very VERY young so don't laugh at his name), was my closest companion. Because he couldn't speak 'human talk,' I would talk for him. Gary, Sir Licks-a-Lot, my make-believe friend Stella, and I would have marvelous tea parties that I imagined every maiden in the country envied.
I had the most beautiful gowns that I wore constantly. I couldn't very well walk around for the guards in any old thing. Ha, no. I wore my mother's gowns even though I would trip over the hem. My favorite was a mint green strapless with sequins around the collar that, when I chose to wear it for dress-up, I paired with a white fur shrug, a cherry red handbag, and my mother's most yellow high heels. They all smiled with humor, but I twirled like a ballerina anyway.
I was happy although I rarely saw my parents. Where would you find me on a regular basis? Either sliding down the hall with Gary, reading in my suite, or playing in one of the courtyards with Stella.
When my parents and I were being served dinner on the eve of my eighth birthday, which was one of the rare occasions when I actually got to see my parents, I received some very surprising news. “Cassie, sweetie?”
“Yes Mommy?”
“Your father and I have some very exciting news.”
“What?”
“It's sort of a birthday present...” my father jumped in.
“What? What is it? Is it more makeup?!” I loved putting on makeup and pretending I was a part of an undercover society and I was supposed to disguise myself. I had quite an imagination.
“No honey,” Mother laughed.
“Then what is it?” Remember, I was eight. I knew very little.
“Cass, your mother is pregnant.”
“What?”
“Pregnant, honey. You're going to have a new baby brother or sister!” Mother grinned.
Until that very moment, I had never once acted like a spoiled brat. Most people think that princesses are spoiled and selfish and obnoxious. They obviously don't know me.
I reacted differently than you might assume. I stood up on my chair and looked at my parents. I looked into their eyes. I studied their bemused faces for a few moments, and said just five simple words. “Say. Good-bye. To. My. Voice.” And I jumped down from the chair and ran as fast as I could out of the main dining room to the front door. I unlatched the heavy lock and ran out into the front courtyard. I made my way to the middle of the maze of plants and sat down. And cried. And screamed my head off. And cried some more.
Eventually, it got extremely dark. By that time, Sir Licks-a-Lot had made his way to me. I picked him up and held him very close to me. I inhaled his familiar feline scent. I wondered the hour, because I had no watch.
I soon heard calling. Person calling. Someone calling for my name. “Cassie!” It was Gary's voice. Still clutching Sir Licks-a-lot, I came out of the courtyard and into the viewing. He found me. He took my hand and led me back to the palace. He brought me up to my suite and got my ladies maids to assist me in undressing and then once I was all set, he tucked me into bed. “You must know that your mother and father are very excited and thought you would be too.”
“I don't care. I am not speaking to either of them. Goodnight,” and I closed my eyes with Sir Licks-a-Lot by my hand. I felt Gary get up and heard him walk over to the door. He shut off the light and closed the door. When I knew he was gone, I opened my eyes, sat up, and put Sir Licks-a-Lot on my knee. He was often one that I spoke to in times of need. “Sir Licks-a-Lot, what am I going to do? There is going to be a new princess in the palace. How am I supposed to be queen someday with a new baby?” Sir Licks-a-Lot just stared at me in the dark and mewed. “You're right. I'm still going to be the oldest. They'll still like me best. But I am not talking to them. They should have asked me before they decided to have a baby.” After a few more minutes of this bickering with myself, I fell asleep.
The next morning I woke, with a plan.

CHAPTER 1: NINE YEARS AGO TODAY
“One can only really be pleased when one is alone.”

Nine years ago today, I found out that I was receiving a new baby brother or sister. I resented him or her, and I hadn't even known him or her. He or she wasn't even the size of a blueberry yet. Not that I was aware of that at the time, but times changed.
“Nine years ago today, we acquired news that you would have a new little sister or brother. Who knew you'd end up getting two?” my mother toasted at my birthday ball. Yes, that's right, my mother had twins. Two little baby girls. “Gia and Helena were two very gorgeous baby girls. But they couldn't compare with my Casandra. Casandra, you were beautiful in a quiet way. You were a wonderful child. Always listened to what I told you, never fussy.”
“And we were?” Gia asked with a tinge of upset.
“We were good babies, Mother!” Helena, who we dubbed Lena soon after she could talk, added smugly.
“Please continue, Mother. For, I do love it when you speak of me being better than them,” I smiled.
“Of course, Casandra. As I was saying, you were a wonderful child. But nine years ago today, you swore that you would never speak to your father or myself ever again. Obviously you changed your mind.”
“Yes. And may I be frank, I was afraid you would actually go through with it. But thank good gracious you didn't. We love the sound of your voice. And more importantly, we love you, Casandra. To Casandra!” my father loudly announced as he raised his goblet high.
“To Casandra!” the crowd echoed him. All of the royal families from all around Europe and Asia.
After everyone – just my family – made their toasts, it was my responsibility to dance with all of the eligible bachelors. Because today was the day I turned seventeen years of age. One more year and I will be crowned queen. The only setback? I have to get married. An arranged marriage, as they say occasionally.
The first few guys I danced with didn't speak English. So I had a bit of difficulty trying to get to know them. There was only one person the entire night that actually caught my eye. He was from England. He had brown eyes and his face was covered with brown freckles. His eyes were chocolate brown, and his smile was like nothing else in the world. It was his face that caught my eye, boyish but mature. He wasn't royalty, but he was related to Prince Charles. Distant relation, but still a relation. He was the last person I danced with, so he was also the one who saved me from a Spaniard attempting to tango to a waltz.
“Thank you.”
“Anytime, your highness,” he smiled.
“And you are?” I asked flirtatiously.
“I am Logan.”
“Do you have a last name?”
“Do you really need to know?” he smirked.
“Mysterious and a decent dancer, my, my, my.”
“My full name is Logan Justin Gold. Far descendant of the Duke of Edinburgh. Prince Phillip is my father's fifth cousin, twice removed. Very complex.”
“Ah, I see.”
“Yes. Quite complicated. Not worth analyzing.”
I laughed softly. “You know, when a girl is told by a guy that something is unanalyzable, it just makes her what to figure him out.”
“Should we have lunch?” he chuckled because he knew he had me.
“Sure. Just know what you're in for. I have to take Gary EVERYWHERE,” I frowned.
“And Gary is...?” he raised his left eyebrow.
“My body guard. Head security. Royalty has its perks and its negatives,” I sighed.
“I see. Well is there any chance that I could get you alone?”
“Like right now?” I then realized that there was no more music, no more guests, and no more dancers. He pulled me closer. “There's still security cameras.”
He let go of me. “Okay. Well, then. Next time, my lady.” With that, he walked away. I watched him as he walked away through the ballroom exit and closed the heavy door. I looked to my left and saw my reflection in the mirror on the wall. It takes up the entire length and height of the wall. I looked small. I moved closer. I wore an ivory corset with spaghetti straps. The skirt was floor length and halfway between tight and puffy. The color tan with specks of darker browns mixed in. The entire dress was incredibly sparkled. I love sparkles.
My eyes were green and bright. My hair was still golden and bouncy like when I was younger. It was in a clipped to the side in an old-fashioned, bejeweled barrette-clip that held a ponytail with small braids through out my curly locks. My side bangs hung out and framed my face. My lips were painted firetruck red. My cheeks were rosy until a tear was cast from my right eye. I wiped it away and I saw my glistening French manicure. I looked down at my feet as though I was embarrassed. My shoes were cream-colored, open-toed ballet flats. I could see my blue toenails through the small opening at the toe of the shoes. The blue polish was the one thing my mother disapproved of in my attire for the evening.
I lifted the hem of my dress so I wouldn't trip and I walked out in the direction of my suite. Still the same room, just different furniture. When I arrived at my suite, I opened the door and walked inside. I went in my closet and stripped from dress. I kicked off my shoes and put on my most comfortable un-princess-y sweat pants and a big tee shirt. I unclipped my hair and took out the braids. I brushed my hair and then shoved it (yes, shoved it for my hair is quite thick) into a messy bun.
I slipped on my fuzzy socks and crept out of my room with book, flashlight, and iPad in hand. I tiptoed to the kitchen. I made sure no one was around before I turned on the light.
If you are wondering about the flashlight, I brought it because the light in the kitchen is terrible. There is one small lamp that Chef Geoffrey uses when it starts to get dark. After the sky turns navy, the kitchen staff goes to bed.
I went into the freezer and opened one of the drawer compartments and looked at the selection of different pints of ice cream. There was Rocky Road, Mint Chocolate Chip, Cookies 'n' Cream, and Dirt. I chose the pint of Dirt. Dirt is a mix of chocolate ice cream, Oreo cookies, chocolate chips, and brownie chunks. I grabbed a spoon from the drawer and opened the ice cream pint holder thing and took my spoon and ate it. I ate it and ate it while I read my book.
My iPad played my Mozart and Beethoven playlist quietly. I love listening to classical music while I read English literature.
Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare.
I was starving. I finished three-quarters of the pint while I read scenes two through six. I put the ice cream away and grabbed one of the ice cream cookie sandwiches. I turned off the lamp and turned on the flashlight so I could see. I took my iPad and ice cream sandwich and went upstairs. By the time I got back to my room it was nearly two o'clock in the morning. I got under the covers and devoured my ice cream sandwich. I then picked up the remote that controlled my room and pressed the button that turned out the lights and went to sleep.
By far, the worst birthday of my life. But also the best. I never met anyone like Logan before. He was special. One of those strange love-at-first-sight things. I know I didn't love him but there was definitely a connection. I only talked to him for about ten minutes but it was still something.
***
Gia and my maid woke me up the next morning. “Good morning sunshine!” Gia screamed in my ear.
“What the heck Gia?” I said quietly.
“Good morning your highness,” Simone, my maid, said with a curtsy.
“Hi Simone. And I told you about the curtsying and the 'your highness crap,'” I rolled my eyes.
“Oh. I'm sorry your high- I mean I'm sorry Miss Casandra.”
“It's okay.” She's new so she's still in training.
“Happy birthday, Casandra!” Lena yelled as she walked into my room.
“Ugh, I forgot. Thanks for reminding me.”
“Your welcome. We helped make you breakfast!”
They handed me the tray and then, thank goodness, left. I looked at the tray in front of me and saw that it consisted of scrambled eggs, two slices of French toast drenched in pure maple syrup (just the way I like it), three strips of bacon, a tall glass of milk, and a single carnation with a card. I opened the card suspiciously. My family never did anything like a flower so I was curious. It read: “Dear Princess, thanks for last night. Meet me at Janine's for lunch today at 11:30. Happy birthday, Logan.”
I smiled and smelled the yellow flower. I ate the meal. The eggs were cheesy and fluffy, the French toast was toasty, the bacon was crispy but fatty like the way I love it! But despite the delicious breakfast, all I could think about was what I was going to wear on my date with Logan.
After breakfast, I set the tray outside my door and went to my closet. I went to the 'casual' section on my enormous closet and searched through the semi-normal clothes that I own. Most of my stuff is super fancy and very princess-like. I did manage to purchase normal clothes during the two or three sleep away camps my parents sent me to as a kid. I am tiny, and I've been basically the same size since I was fifteen.
The final outfit I chose was a green and black dress. It's like a black shirt with a high-waisted stretchy belt thing with a green skirt. I paired it with a pair purple low-top Converses. I had silver hoop earrings and my favorite pearl necklace. I straightened my hair and pulled my bangs back in a clip.
I looked in a mirror and said to myself, “this is it. You're finally getting out so you can go on a real date.” I crept downstairs and out the back door in the servants quarters. I ran outside the palace and ran to Janine's. I was out and I still had my plan for staying out one of these days.

Possibilities?

I have fantastic news!!! I have a follower that I don't know! Thank you Lilianna!

So today I was writing a continuation of my Runaway Royalty (clips posted later) and I came up with an idea... I love the musical ANNIE, I played Lieutenant Ward in my school's production of ANNIE, I know the movie better than I know the back of my head... why not write a version of the play but in modern form! So I have about six pages written so far, tell me whatcha think!

*I put in the white ear-buds and pressed play. Through the buds I heard “Maybe” from the original musical ANNIE. It was always my favorite play because I was told that I was named after the main characters. My name is Annie Grace. I have no last name, because I am an orphan. An orphan slash indentured servant. Miss Hannigan houses me, Tessie, Molly, Pepper, and June in the basement of her successful travel agency. We type and do her laundry. She barely ever gives us treats. We work and clean for food. She feeds us three times a day although she often forgets lunch. We only get what she calls “MUSH” which is an acronym for macaroni, udon noodles, salami, and hot dog slices.
She gets all these foods and puts them together in a huge pot of boiling water. She adds some salt and pepper and boom, you have MUSH. Sometimes it's hot, sometimes it's cold. Lately it's been cold because the microwave in her loft upstairs is broken.
I tiptoed over to the lumpy sofa in the basement and sat down. The basement is smallish but roomy because there isn't much down there. All we have is the couch, a reclining leather chair (our “luxury furniture” as Miss Hannigan says), a few throw rugs, and, my personal favorite, the cots. Since there are five of us, we have two double cots and one single cot. Pepper is the oldest so she usually sleeps on the single while Molly and I sleep on one of the doubles and Tessie and June sleep on the other double.*

Comment people!!! :) This is just a few paragraphs from the entire story but I think that if I do decide to work on this, I am going to wait until I finish Runaway Royalty. I don't want to get the wire's crossed and get confused. Trust me, I've learned that the hard way!

I have four favorite books in the entire world. They are as follows:
1) Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows... J.K. Rowling
2) The Outsiders... S.E. Hinton
3) Secret Life Of Bees... Sue Monk Kidd
4) To Kill A Mockingbird... Harper Lee

Harry Potter, I actually love the entire series but I love the last one in particular. Not only is it the longest, but I never get tired of the story. I have reread the Deathly Hallows more times than I have reread any of the others. I am so excited for the movie (part I) to come out on November 19th!!!!! I'm going to the midnight showing with my dad, as long as my grades are good... it'll go into the Friday so I'd have to miss school but OH WELL :D

The Outsiders I have been reading since 4th grade. I used to fantasize about Soda and Ponyboy all the time. I loved the idea of the book and just the way it all fit together... not much to say about it, except that I have misplaced my very-much-used copy of the book... :'(

Secret Life Of Bees I had to read for a summer reading list for my Honor's English class. I loved the relationship between August and Lily but Lily frustrated me to every possible extent. There were some points in the story where I despised her! I enjoyed reading it very much, and the report I had to do about it was difficult because everything was so precise and elaborate! We had to separate the book into 3 sections and summarize each section in only 100 WORDS! No more than 100 words!!!! it was near impossible for me ;) I enjoyed the book though.

To Kill A Mockingbird. Set in the great depression. All about a black man, Tom Robinson, who was accused of harming Mayella Ewell and how Tom had to go to trial and... why am I telling you all this? GO READ THE BOOK YOURSELF! IT'S A CLASSIC AMERICAN NOVEL!

Today we went to Target for milk and for me to look for a birthday present for my friend (yes Care that's you ;)). We left the house around nine forty-five. We didn't get home until 1:10!!!!! We had to spend a half hour in the toy section at Target for my sister to try and spend her Target giftcard, plus they had no milk at Target. Then my other sister wanted a yo-yo so we went across the street to Toys R Us to get her a yo-yo. Then the car battery died and we had to go to the car dealership to get the battery replaced. Jones is a nice place though, they gave us hot dogs and pop corn! :D

I babysat from 6ish to about 8:30, so I missed Secret Life of the American Teenager, but I am going to watch it in about 10 minutes when it comes on again.

It was a productive day all in all, happy reading!

Fun Weekend!

Greetings humans of the earth. Yes, it's been a while, but that's not my fault! I've been preoccupied! I have been extremely busy writing my new story, Runaway Royalty. Casandra and Logan are falling fast in love. SNEAK PEAK, WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?: Casandra has a lunch date with her mother only to find out that Cassie has to start the dreaded Queen Lessons. Cass decides that its too much to bear, and runs away! Not gonna tell how or where she goes! It's a secret!!! Shh!!

This weekend, my mom and dad's friends from college came to visit! They are also my godparents! My favorite 11 year old in the entire world came to visit! Em is like my sister except she doesn't live here and shes not annoying! :D (my real sister is watching me write this and she gave me this look: >:O )

We had fun, we went swimming in our inground pool, we read all of my J-14 magazines, and we watched movies. We slept in the basement on our airmatress and it was so much fun!

So on August 30th, I begin high school. Let me just say, I AM NERVOUS AND SCARED AS ANYTHING! Nine more days until I am an official freshmen. We have "Freshmen Fest" on the 27th which is good; we can meet our teachers and walk around to our classrooms with our senior mentors. Luckily, the counselors always put two or three seniors in each freshmen homeroom. So that's good!

Any high schoolers out there? Any advice? Please :)
