I was in a play!

Yes, so I know it's been over a month now since my last update and yes, I know there's a lot of things that I haven't told you. But right now, it is the night before Thanksgiving, and I have nothing to do. So here we go. Catch up of the last 30 days.

-I was "Princess Elaine" in my school's production of "Once Upon a Mattress." It was great. I had 2 lines and got to be chased by a peverted king. :)

-I got a boyfriend :) His name is Travis and he's my best guy friend in the whole world. I can tell him anything <3 Unfortunately we barely ever see each other because we have no classes together and only 1 lunch :(

-I had my first sort-of date. Travis came over and we ate pizza and watched a movie. Or at least, turned a movie on. We just talked the whole time.

-I am almost finished with RR :) You'll be happy to know that I did do a little bit of editing to make it a little shorter, so more like a short novel (or novella, whatever). Instead of chapter 9 being "2 months later," I've made it "1 year later." That way, I don't need to go into extreme detail of Cassie and Logan's every day lives. So I'm cheating, but making it good ;)

-I love my creative writing class. Mr. Newman is insane and morbid and all like "You will all die some day" but I love the class! I've written some really amazing stuff and I'm even entering a short story I wrote into a contest along with a poem I wrote last year :)

-I GOT HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PT 2 ON DVD LAST WEEKEND!!!! AHHH!!! I've literally watched it 4 times since Tuesday. I couldn't watch it until Saturday because it was Tech Week (or Hell Week as we drama ramas call it) so between Saturday and yesterday, I've watched it all the way through, a total of 4 times. INSANITYYY

-I met some really amazing people during the play and I now have a bunch of new friends (mostly upperclassmen, but some freshies dive into the mix) and a new favorite thing to do. I've decided that I love to act. Don't panic, I'm still gonna write. All the time. But if I happen to show up on Broadway every now and again, that'd be awesome ;)

Well that's pretty much everything. I don't think I'm forgetting anything but if I am I will speedy quick re-update with the updates :)

And I promise to try and post more often. I'm really bad at being consistent so from now on, I will try to post every weekend. No guarentees though :P

Sorry I haven't been writing or updating but I've been so busy... I'm in a musical at my school (Once Upon A Mattress :D), I have super hard classes, and on top of everything else, I'm so tired. All the time.

I Hate Homework.

Why do high school teachers feel the need to pile on the homework over the weekends? How come elementary school kids don't get weekend homework!? They have no lives. They have nothing to do over the weekend! Teens make plans over the weekends and then SPLAT! Bombarded with stupid homework.

Sorry this post is so short, but I have to study for a stupid AP World test that is tomorrow :(

The Poems

Hey guys, these are the first couple poems I've written so far this year... I had to write them for Creative Writing... The first two are really good but the last one I just wrote down really quickly so I could finish it :) Enjoy!!

MOTHER
I watch my mother go off to work,
And sarcastically say goodbye.
She knows how hard it is
To let her children go.
We're off to school all day,
And even when we get home,
She won't be there.

It makes me remember
Way back when,
We'd drive to school together
And sing as loud as we can.
“We're off to see the wizard,”
She'd sing
I'd just smile at her and sing along,
Because everything was right.

Now I miss those times,
When she would hold me
And drive me to school,
But I know she has more duties now,
To her job and to our home.
I still know she loves us all,
As we love her,
But still I miss the little moments,
That I would spend with my mother.


CHOCOLATE COVERED CHEESECAKE
Hot September noon,
Sweat dripping down our necks.
Was just crowned a princess,
Who needs more than that?
We stop at a stand,
To get a quick snack,
Before we continue
Our Renesiance Festival adventure.
The chocolate covered cheese cake stand.
We needed something cold,
Due to the heat.
It was cold and rich,
Chocolatey and good.
I'd never tasted anything so sweet.
It was dripping down my hand
As I held the popsicle stick.
But I didn't care,
For I was in heaven.
“Chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick,”
The man yelled out
To customers passing by.
I didn't care though.
I already had mine.

VINYL RECORDS
I sit on my bed,
Bored
Nothing to do.
I glance over
And peruse over what I could do.
I see my iPod,
Games.
I see my Kindle,
Books.
I see my clock radio,
That tells me the time
But I stop.
Stare,
There
There on the shelf.
My turntable and records
Laying,
As though calling to be used.
"Play with us!" they shriek,
As I turn the player on,
Put the needle down,
And watch it go 'round and 'round.
The clearest music I've ever heard
Comes through the speakers.
I smile,
Yes,
This is the bordem buster I'd been looking for.

There's Not Enough Hours in the Day.

I have the worst headache in the history of the world. It's behind my eyes and almost behind my nose. It even hurts when I close my eyes.

Butttt the good news is:
I GOT A PART IN OUR SCHOOL'S FALL MUSICAL!!!! :D
I am "Princess #3" :)

So I know I don't have a name... but I get to dance and sing and maybe have a few lines! The musical is "Once Apon A Matress." It's like the Princess and the Pea. They made a Disney movie about it with Carol Burnett.

Yeah so I'm going to try and write my stupid poem for Creative Writing and then try and rewrite my "Midsummer Night" essay... blahh. Then I'm going to bed. I don't even want dinner. I just want to go to sleep.

SOPHMORE YEAR!

HERE I COME SOPHMORE YEAR! I can't believe I'm in 10th grade! 10 years of school with the same irritating people is hard work :P But somehow I did it without losing my head! I'm very excited for this year. Here's my schedule!

A1: Algebra II (ugh, math first period? yuck!!!)
A2: FOT (tech ed class :P Not a fan of my teacher...)
A3: Creative Writing (which I LOVEEEE)
A4: Deutsch II (Frau is CUH-RAZYYY :))

B1: Honors Biology (hate that.)
B2: AP World History (yay!!!)
B3: Gym (hate practically everyone in my class... more on that later)
B4: Honors English (LOVE my teacher!!!)

So I have 2nd lunch on A1, A2, and B2 days and 4th lunch on B1 days. I HATE 4th lunch. It's at the very end of 3rd period so all the cafeteria food is cold and gross :\ and I'm probably buying lunch tomorrow anyway because the only person in my gym class that I like who isn't friends with someone who hates me is Madison and she always buys lunch :\

Speaking of gym,,

On the first few days we always just sit around and get lockers and stuff. We dont have to get dressed or anything. But Madison, Juls, and I were sitting on the bleachers playing Pictionary in my notebook. And then we find a few paper wads being throw at us. At first we thought it was an accident. Then after a few minutes, I turn around and say "Excuse me? Do you have a problem?" And me and Madison got up and sat on the other side of the bleachers. It pissed me off. Girls don't have to be mean to other girls. They just are. They don't HAVE to be. But they are.

Mel and I are watching "Dance Moms" right now and it is sooo good but really annoying. It's like "Toddlers & Tiaras." I just want to climb into the TV and strangle the moms. But my sister has competed against the Abby Lee studio, and my sister beat them :) So that just proves how great they are ;)

Birthday's :)

Today is a very special day...

Actually, this is a very special month...

Wondering why? Well...

TODAY IS MEREDITH'S 7th BIRTHDAY!
AUGUST 7th WAS MELANIE'S 10th BIRTHDAY!
AUGUST 1st WAS MY MOM'S BIRTHDAY! (she has asked me not to include her age haha!)

:D All the August birthdays got more than one birthday.

Mom: a party in April to make up for her previous one, went out to dinner with friends the day before her actual birthday, her actual birthday, and two days after her actual birthday because one of her friends forgot ;)

Mel: her actual birthday and a small party the day before. just her friends over for a sleepover.

Meredith: Chuck E Cheese birthday party on the 14th, birthday brownies from my mom's bff from college, and today. :D

I gave my mom a Pandora bead for her birthday, soap and sunglasses for Mel's, and a clock for Meredith. Don't ask me why, she seriously wanted a clock!

I am so ready for school on Monday. I have new clothes, cute new shoes, and I'm going to be a SOPHMORE <33 :DD I AM SO EXCITED :)

At my school, we have this thing called "Freshmen Fest" where all the freshies come in with their parents and tour the school. It's only for the freshies, but almost all the lower classmen go just to go throught their schedules. I am working one of the tables at the Ice-Cream Social at the end. That's where freshies can sign up for clubs if they haven't already. I'm going to be at the German table :)

Hurricane Irene is supposed to hit us this weekend. We are going to have heavy rain and wind and possible power outtages. Yay. :P

This will be the second hurricane here. The first was Hurricane Isabelle like 7 years ago.

I just now realized that I have about a million movie ticket stubs. :\

shopping day and big news :)

We went SHOPPING today <3 We went to Christiana mall in Delaware and OMG they had the BEEESSSTTT stores EVER! They had H&M, dElia's, forever 21, AeROPOSTALE, Abercrombie & Fitch, icing by claires, GAP, CINNABON, Barnes&Noble, and tons more! We got so lost. We probably walked like 10 miles today. We had Panera Bread for lunch. It was really good :) I usually get a bagel but today I was super hungry so I got chicken noodle soup in a sourdough bread bowl :) I reccomend it to those with large appetites but only for those who love sourdough bread. I don't love it, but I ate all the soup and the majority of the bowl :)

I got two cropped shirts from dElia's :) One of them is gray and says "John, Paul, George, Ringo" on it which I love because I LOVE THE BEATLES <3 and the other one is aqua blue and has a cool design on it :))

At H&M I got a plaid button up shirt and a cool red poncho-looking shirt but had sleeves and looked really good on me ;)) I also got 2 camis because they were cheaper there than at Kohls. I only got white and black.

We went to icing by claires and Melanie and I got feather earrings. We've been so obsessed with them lately because they're EVERYWHERE. We got one pair and we're going to share them but I doubt my mom will let Mel wear them to school :)

I got a giant CINNABON :) If you've never had a cinnabon, shame on you and go get one because they are DELISH!! :) I don't mean a regular, run-of-the-mill cinnamon roll, I mean a 500 cal. CINNABON :D

I definetly recommend Christiana Mall because it is pure AWESOMENESS <3

Now for the big news :)

Starting January 29, I am legally allowed to drive!!!! :DDD I can get my learners permit when I'm 15 and 9 months which is in January!!!! So my dad had this idea...

Whenever he gives me driving lessons, I will write an entry on my blog from my point of veiw on the lesson and when he makes a blog (I will post the link) he will write an entry from his point of veiw on the lesson. Should be interesting ;)) So look for that coming soon!!!

Well I think I need a nap because my legs are so tired :P

Going Nowhere.

I'm serious.

All I want in my life is to live in NYC, live in a cute little apartment in Manhattan, and be a writer. I just want to be a writer. And I am blocked. I am so close to finishing my first book EVER and I am absolutely stumped. I'm not giving up, I just don't know what to do with myself.

Cyberbullying

Hey guys,

I'm watching "Cyberbully" on ABC Family and right now, I am seriously considering deleting my Facebook profile. I don't think I'll be able to convince myself to actually do that... but I'm considering it. [delete] digital drama. It's a serious issue. Especially nowadays when practically everyone is focused on the internet. It doesn't matter.

I'm going to be open. People have called me fat right to my face. And I'm going to say this. I am not fat. I've been called fat and ugly by girls. And boys. One in particular that I liked. A lot. Since 5th grade. But I just keep ignoring it. I've got my friends. My real friends. They would never say stuff like that to me. My two best friends in the entire world are the sweetest people in the universe. They tell me the truth. They say I'm beautiful and I know that they wouldn't tell me that unless it were true. Everyone needs those people.

Be nice to each other. Ignore the haters and reach out to the victims. Popularity is like Hades in Hell. They aren't happy. I'm glad I'm not popular.
