The Big Bang Theory - TULOM

Greetings fellow readers. Lately I have been watching this show The Big Bang Theory with my mom. It's really funny. It's about these five friends (Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, Raj, and Penny). Sheldon, Leonard, and Raj all have PhD's and Howard has a Masters Degree. Penny is a waitreTss at the Cheesecake Factory. It's really hilarious because Sheldon doesn't understand sarcasm, humor, or metephors at all. He's like Amelia Bedelia. He takes everything very literally.

Today is Saturday! HURRAY! I love Saturday's because I don't have school tomorrow! Plus instead of just one day I get 2 days to do my homework! YAAAHH!!!!!!

Here's the next little bit of TULOM -

I looked around for familiar faces. One family at the end of our new street brought us some brownies on Friday evening. It was a woman and her two kids. A freshmen and a senior, two girls. Katherine – or Kate – was a freshmen and Kelly was a senior. Kate seemed nice for a kid. Kelly was really nice too and I did have one class with her. We had AP World History together third period on B days. I had no idea what today was. A day? B day? What was the difference?!
At my school in Kentucky, we had seven periods a day, 45 minute class periods, and the same schedule everyday aside from alternating gym/health days. Life was simple in Louisville. I lived there my whole life.
I heard an annoying trill bell and everyone scrambled around me instead of socializing like they were before. I saw Kate and caught her arm. She was walking with a boy who was three feet taller than her. They were holding hands. “What?” she asked, annoyed. “Oh it's you.”
“How do I get to room 340? I have science and I am so confused,” I confessed. I felt stupid asking a freshmen for directions.
“Go upstairs and you'll see the signs. Hurry though 'cause that bell means you have three more minutes.” She walked away with a flip of the hair and the boy still in her hand.
I sighed and just went to the office and asked for help. A nice secretary named Mrs. Betty helped me find my science room. She also gave me a map of all the floors and showed me where the back staircases were. I thanked her and inhaled as I entered my science classroom. I told the teacher that I was new and he put me next to someone named Ian Jackson. I walked over to him. He was alone while all the others had a partner.
I slid onto the stool next to him. “Hi,” I said, starting conversation.
“Hello,” he said roughly, like he was holding his breath.
“I'm Veronica but my friends back home call me Rover because... I love dogs,” I lied. Yeah, my friends call me Rover but not because I love dogs. In fact, I never had a pet ever unless you count a couple dead goldfish and my moms dog that we got a couple years ago.
“I'm Ian. Please let me pay attention,” he said sharply. I took that as a 'shut up and turn around so I don't have to talk to you anymore.' I did. I faced forward and didn't say another word the entire class period.

No School Today!

Yes, that's right! NO SCHOOL :D Don't ask why... I have no idea. :) So I am writing today. Constantly until tonight. :) I have changed the title of my story once again.
It is now called The Untitled Life of Me. Told ya!!!!

I was looking through my saved stories and I have a LOT of unfinished stories... a few are:
1) Merepeople
2) Runaway Royalty
3) Silence & Gardenia
4) The Society
5) Poetry Collection
That's a lot. I am going to be continuously working on them all... so after each Title I will have a ":" to tell you what story I am currently working on. I would love it if I could finish them all. I've made it my goal to finish at least Runaway Royalty and The Untitled Life of Me before the end of my Freshmen year. Not edited, just finished.

The Poetry Collection is just all of the poetry I've ever written... not that interesting. If I have an inspiration for a poem, I just write it down there... not too fantastic :P

So I'm gonna go write my heart out now! Peace!!!

Dear Damn Diary

I started a new story guys! It's called Dear Damn Diary. Right now haha! Titles always change. I decided on that title for now because when I am really pissed off I write in my journal/diary thing. I write "Dear Damn Diary" at the top and then pour out my feelings. So that's what this character does too. Her name is Veronica "Rover" Williams. I got the idea for the name Rover from this childrens story my English teacher read us called "Rover." It was written from the dogs point of view (we were studying POV at the time) and the dog called his owner Rover. Anyway, the story is going to be sort of like Twilight but without the mythical creatures. Two people meet, fall in love, and realize that there's no way they could ever let each other go. Here's a little sneak peak:

*Lost. Stranded. These are just a few words to describe how I felt. The new school was unfamiliar and cold. I was surrounded by people yet I felt alone. I stood in the middle of the chaos looking hopelessly at my schedule. Was it second of third period that I had lunch? What room was PORT 4? How the hell was I supposed to get to room 207 if I wasn't permitted to cross through the library? Yesterday seemed so easy. Of course, yesterday was Sunday and I was taking a private tour of the large high school.
I just transferred to the small town of Bel Air, Maryland from Louisville, Kentucky. We got into Bel Air around three-thirty on Thursday afternoon. Friday we got all of our stuff from the moving trucks and on Saturday we were unpacking and getting settled. On Sunday, my mom and I went to my new school to enrole me into the eleventh grade. The ninth grade vice principal, Mr. Macks, showed me around the school. It seemed pretty easy... but that was with the school empty. Now, fuller than I ever imagined possible, it was overwhelming as anything. *

Today my sister gave me an eraser that is shaped like an ice cream cone. It would be absolutely precious if it wasn't strawberry ice cream :P No offense to any strawberry ice cream-lovers out there, it's just not my thing!

This week was Spirit Week at my school. Monday was Get Up N Go day (pajamas!!!!), Tuesday was Flashback Day (I dressed up like Madonna!!!!!!), Wednesday was Twin Day (I was sick so I missed it), and today was Spirit Day. Freshmen wear gray, Sophmores wear blue, Juniors wear white, and Seniors wear black. You decorate a shirt that is your designated color and if you wear another class's color or any other color for that matter, you get "tagged" which is when an upperclassmen writes on your shirt with a Sharpie.

It's a lot of fun because it's the day of Pep Rally and the Homecoming Game! The Pep Rally was sooooo much fun. The Color Guard, Dance Team, Marching Band, Cheerleaders, and Step Squad performed. Between the performances, there were games.

The first one was Freshies against Sophmores tug-of-war. The Sophmores cheated though because right before the Freshies were about to win, some lunatic Sophmore jumped up and pulled on the rope and they all fell. But the Sophmores won :P The second was musical chairs. Five teachers were blindfolded and had to try and find the chairs while the Seniors moved the chairs around to make it difficult. The third was a Twinkie eating contest and my friend Laney was in it! She came in second to a guy named Jesse. It was so funny because they were all trying to eat the Twinkies fast and they were like choking on it! It was in a funny way though :) The last one was the JV Football players had tissue boxes taped to their butts. There were five ping pong balls inside of the boxed and they had to try and get the balls out without using their hands. You wanna see something funny? JV Football players DIRTY DANCING. They were shaking their butts and then they went into a crabwalk position and...yeah :) IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! :)

I'm starting to LOVE high school now. Wish me more luck!

Saturday, Happyday!

Sorry I've been MIA guys! I've been super busy. With school and everything I barely have enough time to sleep at night. I keep trying though! I promise!!!! :)

Also my laptop kind of broke but it's fixed now so I can post!!!!! :D

I have been good... high school is good. Kinda. I pretty much hate my math teacher. I don't know what her problem is but she just doesn't seem to like me at all. I never did anything. She just doesn't talk to me like she talks to everyone else. She gets an annoyed look on her face everytime I raise my hand. I never did anything and she pretty much gives me the stink eye when I walk into the room.

Goutentag!

Today was A1234 so I had gym (ugh), drama (usually yay but today nay), LCW (YAWWWWNN), and German (we learned german, what do you expect?!)

So today was very boring. yes, very. And it was an A day! I love A days! But not today... sigh. Oh well....

Who watched the VMA's last night?! I watched the first half hour but then I got bored. i really only wanted to see Justin Bieber perform anyway :) Luckily he was first :D I was so surprised that Lady Gaga won the VMA for best female video for Bad Romance. If you ask me, Taylor Swift's Fifteen was much better :P I love both artists a lot but I just liked Taylor's better.

Not much happened today so I guess there's nothing else really to post except that I LOVE ELLEN DEGENERES! I watched the Ellen Show right after i got home from school and I loved it! She's so hilarious and it's like she doesn't care what people think! I admire her :)

SURVIVING FRESHMEN YEAR: Try and make new friends. You may have had a lot of friends in middle school, but you should branch out to the people who have the same interests as you. FOR EXAMPLE: There's this girl named Micki in my drama class. She's a sophmore who loves to write and act. Just like me :) We've beeen talking a lot lately and she's really cool. We talk about the ways of writing and how journalism is a class that we both will likely take but only for the skills that we learn from it. Both of us are more into creative writing :)

TGIF!

Thank... god... it's... FEZ! LOL I love That 70's Show! < 3 but seriously thank god it's Friday :D I tried out for the school musical (You're a Good Man Charlie Brown) but I didn't get in :( I'm really upset because I thought I did really well in my audition yesterday! :( I got the dance right, I sang Over the Rainbow (Judy Garland), and I was super nice and quiet! But every 9th grader that auditioned got in besides me and Morgan (that I know of; there were two audition days). But whatever... there's always next play. :P

Today was B2143 so I had English, Science, Amer Gov, 3rd lunch, and Math.
English was fun, but when isn't it?
Science was boring; I got partnered with two girls who don't like me.
Amer Gov was super boring, but she gave us choc chip cookies to show a federal govt.
I finally found someone to sit with at 3rd lunch on B2 days.
Math was zzzz... BORRRIIINNGGGG!

That's pretty much it. Ohh and background info: I only get 200 text messages a month for $5. Today I realized that I have used 302 text messages this month. AND IT GOES UNTIL THE 21ST OF SEPTEMBER! UGHH I AM GONNA KILL MY FRIENDS! Ha just kidding, but seriously I tell them to stop texting me unless it's an emergency. If it's not, text my iPod :P

We're going out for dinner tonight... where? I don't know. I want Chinese, my little sister wants Mexican, my baby sister wants pizza, and my mom wants Applebees. UGH! :P

WEIRD LAW: Nebraska: Waterloo, barbers are forbidden from eating onions between 7 AM and 7 PM.

SURVIVING FRESHMEN YEAR: When in doubt you have a pop quiz in any subject, look over your notes as quickly as you possibly can before the test is given out. If you knew about the quiz and you forgot to study, good luck ;)

Frustrating...

I am very frustrated at the moment. Two seconds ago, I was fine. Completely content. Then my sister comes home. She's in 4th grade so today she got to choose an instrument to play. She chose clarinet. I played clarinet. Her exact words: "I'm really good at it!" She got about ten minutes to mess around with 2 instruments and that is that. There's no way in cheese that she could decide if she was good at anything. Trust me. I went to that school. I know how it works. Mel has the teacher she wanted right? She like LOVES her teacher. Mel is gonna forget to go to practices and forget to practice. Trust me. I know my sister. The part that pissed me off most? She said "And if I need any help, I'm going to go to Courtney." Yes, my neighbor plays the clarinet still but Court is so advanced that she won't be able to handle Mel's constant calling and bothering. It hurt. I played clarinet. She KNOWS I played clarinet. I played when I was in 4th grade just like her. The band teacher (who is now retired) made me quit because I wasn't practicing enough. I was decent at clarinet but she just didn't like me. But whatever. If Mel wants to play the clarinet, so be it. I know the only reason she chose it was because I used to play it. She always wants to do exactly what I do. It's annoying! If I say I liked a movie, she says "Oh yeah me too!" And just smiles. She instigates and insults me when my parents aren't around. She is the perfect angelic middle child who everyone loves and cherishes. She is a mean little girl.

Today was a B1 day which means I had Science, English, First Lunch, Math, and Amer Gov. Science was okay because we just did textbook work independently. It was boring but I was tired.

Then in English (my favorite class) we did character trait alphacharts. We took the narrator of To Kill a Mockingbird (Scout) and matched one character trait about her to every letter in the alphabet. I was letter B. I picked the word BEMUSED. She understood everything that was going on but she was still curious and always asked questions.

I had first lunch today which wasn't so bad because that's the day I have with Meg, Care, Alexis, and Claudia :) Care was carrying the purse I gave her for her birthday this year and I stood at our table and said "Attention this table. Just for the record, I bought this purse for Care!" It was funny and they laughed.

Then I had math. I swear my math teacher is crazy. Today she told us that 9 does not equal 9. Yes. She did. The other day we were learning about undefined terms (line, point, plane) and I asked her "If you can describe something then why can't you use those descriptions to form a definition?" and I swear to G*d she flipped out. She started like yelling at me. "YOU JUST CAN'T OKAY?!" I was very scared... Then that night when I got home, I went IN THE DICTIONARY and looked up the words POINT, PLANE, and LINE. There in the dictionary, were DEFINITIONS using the words we used to DESCRIBE those very words earlier that very day. I swear she hates me.

Last I had American Govt. We got into groups of 5 or 6 and we had to build card towers. Each group had a different set of laws. My group was the best and our rules were "There is one main leader and two helpers. Everyone contributes to the building." I was the main leader. All the other groups had something like "The oldest person in your group is in charge and everyone else must do what he/she says" or "The tallest person in the group is the only one who is allowed to build, no input is allowed from anyone else." It was pretty cool because we won :)

I am sitting in my room right now looking at my iPod app called Weird Laws. So I have decided that every post will have a "Weird Law of the Day" and a "Surviving Freshmen Year Tip Of the Day."

WEIRD LAW OF THE DAY: IN MARYLAND: It is illegal to mistreat oysters.

SURVIVING FRESHMEN YEAR: If a big scary senior comes up to you in the hallway, tell them you're a sophmore that just transferred from a different state. But make sure you can remember what state you say just in case you run into them again.

3-Day Weekend!!!

So we start school... a full week... then a 3-day weekend plus we're off on Thursday for Rosh Hashana? Thank you school board :D

High school was okay for the first week... Middle school was more familiar but I like the freedom of high school. We can have cell phones, go to our lockers whenever we want, we can actually choose our classes!!!! I know that's how some middle schools are (my friend is going into middle school and she has the same stuff as my high school!) but I'm happy :) I feel so complete I guess. Like I'm finally a person. Not some kid that people can say "Do this" or "Do that!" I can say it for myself. I am whole.

Have you heard Taylor Swift's new single Mine? If you haven't, LISTEN TO IT!!!! IT'S AMAZING!!!!!! I love Taylor Swift she's my favorite singer ever! <3

My favorite song, however, isn't by Taylor Swift. My favorite song (of the week) is my radio station :) Mix 106.5 baby! All of the best pop music!

I love Elvis though. The King all the way :) Love me Tender, Blue Suede Shoes, and Burning Love!!!! That's my favorite (Burning Love)! I love most of his music though. I'm listening to OMG by Usher right now though ;)

So who watched Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam? Haha I did :) I watched it with my baby sister!!!! :D It was surprisingly not terrible. It was stupid but not horrible.

We walked the MA PA Trail today (or at least part of it). It was mid 70s all day and it was BEAUTIFUL. Until my shoes started blistering my pinky toes :( When we got to the end, they were BLEEDING. So my sisters and I made my dad run back to the car and come get us. We stopped at Annie's Playground and we waited there for like 20 mins for him to come pick us up. I was on charge :D

Well, it's 5:40 here so it's dinner time!!!!!
